Today we’d like to introduce you to Myles Daniels
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I got my start in 2013 recording and taking pictures of marching bands (high school & college). In 2017 I started to working at Call It Spring and I met Brittany Jones also know as @brittanythestylist. She was an up and coming stylist and I was a photographer who was trying. We decided to work together and I grew as a photographer. I was then featured in The Vintage Magazine and a few other small magazines. I continued to work on my craft and many opportunities have opened up for me from covering military exercises, parties, church events, festivals, parades, balls, and concerts. 2023 i was selected to be a photographer on the Reunion Tour (featuring Kirk Franklin, Israel Houghton, The Clark Sisters, and Tye Tribbett. But do not be mistaken, I give no credit to myself, I give all of the credit to Jesus, He has granted me every opportunity and I give Him all glory and honor for it all.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road hasn’t been easy, and I never expected to be. Between not always having the best or newest equipment to not always having consistent clientele, to the fact that people either want a discount, they don’t support, or the usual people want best quality for little pay but I never let that stop me and I’m here to keep building for my children and my children’s children and so on.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in portraits and event photography. I’m most proud of the family that I’ve created with each client, the individuals that I’ve had the pleasure of working with. I’m also proud of my perseverance, not quitting, and learning my worth. I believe what sets me apart is the experience each client gets, how they’re treated like and become family, while also getting great quality work.
