Check Out Natasha Cancel’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Natasha Cancel.

Hi Natasha, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I love nails and the beauty industry, and I believe this is my purpose in life. I remember the first time I have seen the process of nails I was like 6 years old and my big sister was getting them done by a neighbor for her 6th grade graduation. It was instant love, by 12 years old, I was already working at a salon close to my mom’s job on the weekends. She sign a permission form. Since then in between school and jobs, I always incline for entrepreneurship. I was always gifted, my talent came from birth but 5 years ago when I moved to Houston I figured that a little bit more than the talent required from me to make this work. Since then I have dedicated myself to build clientele, a space for me and my clients to meet and enjoy a whole experience and improve my skill to offer the best service. I’m proud of my journey and excited for was coming.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Well, it has not been smooth. I can say honestly that more than anything is has been worth it. It keeps me demanding the most of myself which is a hard job to perform but it take you places. The first years of this path I spent working on my skill how to paint nails, how to cut hair, and perfecting my product. When I moved here, because of the opportunities, the exposure, the variety of clients I had to elevate my social skills, I had to actually become a business woman that I will say that has been my biggest struggle, unlearn everything I “knew” about wealth and write my own story my own rules in terms on how I wanted to live to the end of my life.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Like I said my goal is to offer people a whole experience I build relationships with my clients I work by appointment so is a more intimate service. My specialty is that I have been doing for 17 years now is acrylic nails, I’m super passionate about nail art and can say that I have a long way to go but at the same time, almost everything that you challenge me with ill do for you, and that is where my joy comes from being able to serve my clients with customized design that have everything they like and no less. I have to say I am particular about my clients because I consider myself an artist and I like to be appreciated like that, so in my building, I hope to find a whole bunch of nails people so I can spend the rest of my life doing what I love and making my clients happy.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
I give all the glory to God because it’s been rough but I have been blessed with work and many people that have shown me their appreciation and care throughout these years. Many changes and adjustments been implemented since this started to stay in business and sane somehow. This has been at least to me the biggest lesson. Flexibility, the willingness to make it work no matter the circumstances, the bravery to face an uncertain present and future and still move forward with hope and faith that we can do this and everything that’s to come.
