Today we’d like to introduce you to Nishat Raza
Nishat, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started this little business back during the Pandemic after we went into shutdown mode in 2020. I had always been super passionate about arts & crafts but never really thought about doing anything with the skills that I had. I had also been wanting to get into the Weddings & Events industry but just didn’t really know where to start or how. My sweet friends pushed me to start & even gifted me my first Cricut Machine for my birthday that year. Since then I’ve had to buy more machines to keep up with orders & have expanded my business from just personalized & custom made things to offering small event decor & so much more!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
With every business there’s always highs & lows & I definitely faced both. Sometimes business is doing great and I don’t have time to breathe & sometimes it’s a lot slower. My struggle is advertisement & I’m currently working on that! Along with that I’m a perfectionist, so I’m always thinking instead of handing off or delegating things I can just do it my self which has sometimes been a challenge but I’m working on that as well!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
When I get asked what I do, it’s so hard to answer that because I feel like the range of things I offer doesn’t come under one category. I like to say that I’m a one stop custom shop, and I take orders for almost anything & everything which I feel is what sets me apart from others! I make custom personalized pieces for Weddings & Events. I also do florals as well & along with that I started offering Small Event Decor! So some of the things that I offer are Wedding/Event Signage & Stationary, Florals like bouquets & South Asian Floral Jewelry & then Decor for like Bridal Showers, Birthday Parties & so so much more! The newest service I’m about to add into my little business is embroidery, which I am so excited for! Along with that I have quite a few new exciting plans & changes coming soon! I’m proud of the progress I’ve made within these past few years & I hope to continue to progress & achieve the goals I’ve set forth for myself.
How do you think about happiness?
Seeing my clients happy & satisfied is what truly brings me so much joy. Knowing that I worked hard on something for someone & that made them happy is such a fulfilling & rewarding feeling. Along with that seeing more orders come in of course!
