Check Out O’soL’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to O’soL. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Deborah Oluwatobiloba Onome Agboro, better known by her stage name O’soL, is a singer, songwriter, and performer. O’soL was born on March 31st, 1997 in Lagos, Nigeria and currently resides in Arlington, Texas. She is the firstborn on her mother’s side and the thirdborn on her father’s side. O’soL is the middle child of five children. She currently studies at The University of Houston-Victoria as a Computer Information System major. O’soL also doubles as a Freelance Makeup Artist, with a YouTube channel called “ColorsbyO”.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I wish I could say yes but I can’t. The journey has been nothing but a rollercoaster. I don’t want to seem sexist but I feel like if I was a man a lot of things wouldn’t have happened. I am grateful for the process, every challenge is a learning curve and I’m grateful for it all.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Singer/Songwriter, model, makeup artist, and YouTuber. I am known for all of those above, I made sure I ventured out to learn and be part of anything and everything. The industry like a marketable person that can do it all so it’ll be a full package having me on the team which makes me standout, and makes me proud to be able to say that I can do all those things. I am a creative who knows how to express herself through everything and anything I touch. God made sure of that!

Who else deserves credit in your story?
God deserves all the credit, he’s the creator of it all, and it’s only destined for all of these things to happen. That’s why I love the journey and process. Nothing but grateful for it all! Thank you God!

My biggest supporter are my mother, brother and little sister. They see me for who I really am, my brother always says “when you make it, I’m telling them we putting y’all on because we know about her… y’all just catching on.” One of my favorite words I’ve heard from anyone in this world. My mother plays a big role in it all; she supports me 100%, she sees me as I see myself, and loves me through it all.

My best friend and mentor Kristan Curry, also my soon-to-be manager plays a very big role in my life since she entered it. She pushes me to do more and really accept who I am, she helps me in every aspect of life that you can think off. Speaks common sense into me, puts me straight, and says it how it is. No sugarcoating, just how I like it and needs to be. Thank you Kristina.

I’ve had a lot of “good” people who offer to help, but nothing works out because they had ulterior motives, personally business needs to be business.
