Check Out Regan Victorian’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Regan Victorian.

Hi Regan, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started my journey as a photographer at 15. My mom bought a film camera for me. Then I got a click camera. I like to call it that because that’s all it does really haha. It clicks the pick and that’s it. Then my dad sent my mom some money for me when I was 16 and my mom purchased an entry-level DSLR camera for me. I never looked back after that. I remember my first professional camera was a Nikon D3200. I kept going through all my struggles. I spent 10 years doing pictures professionally for people and then when I was 25 I said there was something more I had to offer the world. God had something bigger for me. So I started doing shoots for people out of nowhere. No charge. Certain times I take pictures with a person for a good conversation. You never know what those words may do for someone. I love who I am. Who am I if I didn’t do what I loved? I worked on myself as a person, got sober, and then everything fell back into place.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
No. Not totally. There were times I did give up. For a couple of years at a time. But I always came back to what I loved.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m most known for black and white portraits. I can tell someone’s story through that picture. My photography is me sharing my greatness with the rest of the world.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success is when I wake up and do what I love and be the person everyone loves. I want to be the best version of myself. When I do that I am successful. Sober me though. I’m not successful if I don’t keep my sobriety first.
