Today we’d like to introduce you to Ronalt Condack.
Hi Ronalt, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have been an RBD fan since I was a child. And back then, not even in my wildest dreams could I have imagined where that love would take me.
I come from a time when the internet was only beginning to become part of our lives. I followed RBD on television, through magazines, and through their albums. But there was a reality that was part of my childhood: my family was poor, and I couldn’t afford to buy the original CDs.
So, like many young people at the time, I had pirated copies. And by listening to those albums over and over again, something happened that I still find incredible to this day: I practically learned Spanish by listening to RBD.
I was the kind of fan who thought about the group all the time. With every song, every interview, every appearance, I fell even more in love with them.
But in 2011, when I was around 12 years old, my life changed completely.
My city went through a tragedy, and we had to leave our home. It was a very difficult period. We even had to live with other people for a while as we tried to rebuild our lives in the middle of all that chaos.
That was when I began struggling with depression.
And during that time, a few things became very important to me. I started writing my own songs and, above all, I continued to find comfort in RBD. Listening to their music was a kind of therapy. For a few minutes, it was as if I could forget everything that was happening and simply go back to being that kid who was completely in love with a band.
It was also around that time that I became much more active on social media.
Back then, it was the old Twitter. I had a personal account and started finding a few other people online who were also RBD fans. There wasn’t yet the huge community that exists today.
I loved participating in hashtags, projects, campaigns, and anything involving the group.
And I had a very simple dream: I wanted to be friends with those fans.
After all, we loved the same band.
But the truth is, they didn’t really pay much attention to me. And that’s exactly what made me make a decision: if I couldn’t be part of a fan club, I would create my own.
And that’s how RBDManíaco was born.
The name came from combining RBD with “Maníacos,” inspired by Anymaniacos, because at that time I was also deeply passionate about Anahí’s solo career, which was going through a very strong moment. I had already been to her shows, followed everything she was doing, and that word was part of my world.
Back then, fans weren’t even called “RBDManíacos.” The fandom didn’t really have a name yet. We were simply RBD fans, or part of the “RBD Mania.”
And that little fan club started to grow.
I began creating hashtags, projects, campaigns, and talking about RBD with all the love I had. Little by little, people started getting to know me.
When I reached 1,000 followers, it felt like something huge.
I remember talking to the biggest fan club at the time, which had around 20,000 followers, and telling them that my dream was to reach 5,000. I said that if I ever reached that number, I would already be completely happy.
All I wanted was to share my love for RBD.
The years went by.
And that dream of reaching 5,000 followers became small compared to everything that started happening.
I kept creating projects, supporting the members in their solo careers, organizing campaigns, giving away tickets, and being present for so many important moments.
Without even realizing it, the fan club I had created as a teenager began to turn into something much bigger.
Today, RBDManíaco has more than 1 million people across its social media platforms.
And there is one thing that still moves me: on Twitter, which is now called X, I spent years dreaming of having those 5,000 followers.
Today, we have almost 300,000.
When I stop to think about that, it still feels almost impossible.
Throughout this journey, I have experienced moments I never could have imagined when I was that kid watching RBD on television.
I’ve been invited backstage. I’ve interviewed members and musicians. I’ve been to places that once seemed completely out of reach for me. I’ve been recognized by the members themselves and by the production team as one of the biggest fans and one of the largest profiles dedicated to RBD today.
And perhaps one of the most beautiful things about all of this is realizing that a love that started in such a simple way ended up taking me to places I could never have imagined.
Today, that love has also become a party.
Sétimo RBD – A Festa travels across Brazil, bringing thousands of people together to celebrate, sing, and relive the songs that marked our lives.
And this year, we’re taking that story even further: we will also have an edition in Mexico.
It’s impossible to look at everything that has happened and not think about that 12-year-old boy.
That boy who was going through one of the hardest moments of his life.
That boy who found comfort in a few songs.
That boy who dreamed of having just 5,000 followers.
He could never have imagined that, years later, he would be building a community of more than 1 million people.
He could never have imagined meeting people he admired so much.
He could never have imagined being recognized by the people who once seemed so far away.
And, most importantly, he could never have imagined that what started simply as a way of expressing his love for RBD would become such an important part of his own story.
I am incredibly grateful for everything I have experienced.
Grateful for the opportunities, for the people I have met, for the moments I’ve been able to create for other fans, and especially for every person who has been part of RBDManíaco at some point.
Because, in the end, RBDManíaco has never been just about numbers.
It has never been just about followers.
It has been about love.
It has been about belonging.
It has been about finding people who felt the same way I did.
And maybe that’s exactly why, after all these years, I continue doing everything with the same feeling I had when I started:
with so much love for RBD.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
What happened was a major transition. Ronalt, who was once simply a fan, gradually began to become Ronalt with much more responsibility.
I could no longer just say whatever I wanted. I had a very large audience, and with that came greater responsibilities: to inform, create quality content, be careful about what I shared, and, above all, support and respect the legacy of all six members.
Growing is something very beautiful and rewarding. It is incredible to realize that something you created is succeeding and that so many people value what you do. But growing also means having to deal with many eyes on you and with many people at the same time.
And when you grow, inevitably there are people who like you, but also people who don’t. Some of them don’t even know you. They simply create an image of you in their own minds and start spreading things that aren’t true.
Dealing with fans can also be very difficult. Everyone has their own way of experiencing their love for the group, and many people consider themselves the biggest fan or the best fan. When someone starts standing out, some people can’t handle certain feelings. Instead of being happy for someone else’s achievements, they end up attacking them.
I have been through some very difficult moments because of this.
I have experienced so much hate that it made me seriously consider giving up. I cried a lot and wondered why this was happening, because, in my mind, all I was doing was expressing my love for the group and sharing that love with other people.
But somehow, that bothered — and still bothers — some people.
Over the years, I have learned to deal with all of this a little better. Of course, it still hurts. It is still very upsetting to see people who have never spoken to me, who have never been close to me, and who don’t know my story spreading lies about who I am.
But I also learned to look at the other side.
There is a huge audience that knows my work, follows my journey, recognizes my effort, and stands by my side. People who have been with me for years and who know how much love and dedication goes into everything I do.
And that has come to mean much more to me.
Today, I know who I am. I know the depth of my love for RBD, I know everything I have built, and I know how much I have dedicated myself to getting here.
There are still difficult days. There are still things that hurt.
But when I look back at my entire journey, I feel proud.
Proud of that boy who started all of this without imagining where he would end up.
Proud that I didn’t give up in the moments when stopping seemed like the easier choice.
And above all, proud to know that, despite all the difficulties, I continued doing what I have always done from the very beginning:
loving RBD and turning that love into something I could share with other people.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
In reality, I work as a video editor, but I also have my own artistic work on the internet. I sing and act as well. I have always had this artistic side to me. I enjoy being both in front of and behind the camera, which is why I am also a producer of Sétimo RBD – A Festa and several other projects.
I am very well known within a certain circle for my acting work in web series, and also for my work talking about the Rebelde universe and the RBD group. I am very proud of my entire journey because I have always been someone who went out there and created opportunities for myself, and many of those opportunities were ones I created myself. I have always built things brick by brick.
Throughout this journey, I have been able to help many people, and I still do. Through RBDManíaco alone, I have already made many of my own dreams come true, but I have also been able to make hundreds of dreams come true for other fans. With the platform and influence I have built, I can do that for other people too, and it is incredibly rewarding because I know how much that dream can mean to someone.
Perhaps what sets me apart from others is my proactivity, my consistency, and the fact that I never give up. I am not someone who will only talk about them when they are at the height of their popularity or when they are trending. I am the kind of fan who is there for them through every moment, and I never stop being there.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I’m not sure if I ever had an actual mentor throughout my life. In a way, I was my own mentor.
I have always been very curious, communicative, and interested in meeting people, understanding what was happening around me, and learning from every experience. My network was built naturally through the people I met, the opportunities I created, and, above all, my willingness to talk to people and help them.
I really enjoy talking to people. I like hearing stories, understanding different perspectives, finding out what is going on, and, whenever I can, helping in some way. I believe this ability to communicate has opened many doors for me throughout my journey.
Many of the opportunities I had didn’t happen simply because someone introduced me to someone else. Many times, I went after those opportunities myself, started conversations, built relationships, and from there, new opportunities emerged.
So, if I could give one piece of advice to someone who is just starting out, it would be: talk to people and be open to building genuine connections. Don’t see every person simply as a professional opportunity. Get to know people, listen to them, help them, and build genuine relationships.
That is how I built a large part of my journey. I didn’t have someone telling me exactly which direction to take. I learned along the way, made mistakes, tried again, and gradually built my own network.
I believe that being communicative, curious, and willing to help can take you to places you may never have imagined.
