Today we’d like to introduce you to Shannon Moore.
Hi Shannon, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
As a California girl turned Southern-Texan, I decided to jump start my hospitality career in the fast-paced N.Y.C. I ended up having a 19-year love affair with the service and luxury hospitality industry. Working in hospitality in N.Y.C gave me both high-volume event experience and helped me perfect the art of coordinating and training teams to execute multi-faceted events flawlessly. Love and family brought me back to the Lone Star State.
When I was a new mom, an interesting opportunity presented itself to work at one of Houston’s prominent wedding venues as a planner. My love for hospitality and working with people was reignited; creating a celebration to honor two individuals’ love story brings me such immense joy. I thrive in creative and collaborative environments – and always think outside the box for inspiration for every event (even having done hundreds of events). I seek a deeper understanding of the love story to aid me in creating a day that truly mirrors the uniqueness of the couple and exceeds all expectations.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The Houston Wedding industry is full of wildly talented planners and coordinators. When I first entered the industry, I wasn’t really taken seriously despite my robust experience in N.Y.C. I paid my dues and got hundreds of weddings under my belt. I stuck to my vision and vowed to create very personalized special events, which with time the industry caught wind of.

What separates me from the hundreds of talented wedding planners in Houston is that I am a straight-forward New Yorker combined with a well-mannered Texan. Couples seeking breathtakingly refreshing creativity and honesty in a wedding planner can look no further.
