Hi Shekia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I began my healing journey in 2020- sitting with myself and learning all my likes and dislikes, what makes me most happy and what doesnt. On this journey I finally had the chance to meet the real me, the improved me & the strong me which led me straight to my passion of public service & speaking!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing great comes easy because if it was easy then any and everyone would be doing it. Struggle is a part of building strength, wealth and character… never forget that. I faced so many challenges however none stopped my journey I used each mishaps as a stepping stone to something greater.

I am a Real Estate Agent, CPR Instructor, Public Speaker & Pageant Beauty Queen.
I am known for my community outreach in my organization I have formed called ‘The Color In Me’ which relates to my platform as a pageant queen. I am proud of my decision to stand against colorism and demonstrate to the world that color does not take away from ones beauty. We are all unique in this world and I am no better than the next we are all battling one thing or another and we all are striving for something big or small each individual is vital to the circulation of this world.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Yes, I have 3 advice..
Pray often, Remain dedicated to the ending goal, & remember to live and take in each moment as it comes because you’ll never get another like it……
