Check Out Shequera Donshell’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shequera Donshell.

Hi Shequera, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Honestly, this idea came to me after many nights of thinking about ventures and projects I wanted to dive into. I love being part of something that’s not only calming and soothing but also brings people together. Wine has this amazing way of creating moments — whether it’s bonding over stories, unwinding after a long day, or sparking great conversations. It clears the mind, lifts the spirit and connects people in ways few things can. This wine collection is especially close to my heart because they’re dedicated to my mom. She’s the one who introduced me to wine and taught me how to enjoy it with class and fun. We’ve
always bonded over a good glass of wine and some great music — two things that never fail to bring us together. In fact, I dedicated the official launch of my LLC on her birthday, which was the perfect tribute. Here’s a fun little family fact: I recently discovered that my great-grandmother used to make her own wine. It’s incredible how generations unknowingly follow similar paths. That discovery made this journey feel even more meaningful. Looking ahead, my long-term dream is to continue to create my own wine line— something I can proudly see on shelves everywhere. For now, I’m partnering with a winery, curating
selections from their offerings that I’ve personally sampled and loved.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road was somewhat bumpy, getting the legal approvals and becoming legit before deadlines. I didn’t realize everything that went into starting a business from the ground up, especially alcohol. From the paperwork, labeling, social media content, inventory pickups, customer deliveries, and so much more, all while, juggling my professional work life and motherhood. It took patience and belief in myself in what I wanted to accomplish. The bigger the dream, the greater the sacrifice.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Professionally, I’m a MA/EA for two different companies, I specialize in managing the everyday client-based life of Senior Managers, Consultants, and CEO’s, including scheduling, traveling, expenses, and etc. Although, I’m known to people in the outside world as an entrepreneur, with being a self-published author of many books and now a CEO of my own wine brand. Personally, I’m most proud of the birth of my son, Landon, especially accepting the fact my chances were slim. From a business point of view, I’m most proud of my wine business, for it has become my second born child. My drive, determination, work-ethic, ability to give 100% to multiple projects at once, and invest in myself to make sure I not only love what I do but do what I love. This sets me apart from others because it doesn’t feel like work but a blessing to manage in today’s world.

What were you like growing up?
I was ambitious as a child and stood out among my peers and was determined to be the best at whatever I did.
