Today we’d like to introduce you to Steve Soule.
Hi Steve, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Had previously started a detailing business in 1988 which existed through 1992. In 2014, I decided to come back to my passion of making cars amazing. Business started small and mobile but grew rapidly from word of mouth. In 2017, leased a first shop in Kemah. In summer of 2020, moved to my current location and last month acquired a second space. I ran the business and worked solo for the first 5 years but currently have 7 employees including 3 part time, a shop manager and 3 full time employees. Early on, our primary focus was paint correction (polishing) which helped me gain a following of classic, Exotic and specialty car owners and dealers. As time passes we have transitioned to ceramic coating to protect the polishing work and over the past 4 years the paint protection film and window tint portion of the business has grown exponentially.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. The business was started with very little money while I had 4 children in high school. It was always a juggling act between where money could be spent on family or re-invested into the business. It has taken mountains of hard work and dedication to get where the business is today and we are still actively growing and adding more services to help our customers protect and maintain their assets.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Ultimate Coatings and PPF is a shop that is completely focused on beautification and protection for all forms of automotive, marine and aircraft. The business started with a passion for polishing paint to perfection and has grown into its current state where we offer polishing or paint correction, ceramic coatings for exterior and interior surface, clear bra ( paint protection film) and ceramic tint as well as windshield protection films.
We are well known and recognized for being very customer centric, providing outstanding customer service and communication before during and after processes are completed.
We take the same approach with every customer and project as we would with our own vehicles and perform our processes with industry leading products at the highest level in our industry.

Happy customers are my biggest focus in business! This is what has built my business and my philosophy has always been that if we treat every customer with the highest level of respect and offer a great service, we can continue to grow with minimal advertising expense and maintain an audience of extremely happy customers who happily refer their friends and family.
