Check Out Tamar Bibbs’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tamar Bibbs.

Hi Tamar, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey didn’t begin in business—it began in service, faith, and a deep desire to help people live well and finish strong.

I started my career as an law enforcement professional in leadership and later stepped into entrepreneurship, coaching, and consulting, where I spent years guiding women, individuals and families toward healthier, more purposeful lives. As a first responder and the wife of a veteran, I saw firsthand how quickly life can change—and how often women and families are unprepared emotionally, spiritually, and financially when it does.

My faith has always been the foundation of everything I do. Studying and applying biblical principles for holistic well-being—physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual—shaped my approach to coaching and leadership. Over time, I realized that true stewardship also includes financial wisdom, legacy planning, and protection.

That realization led me to establish Tamarisk Financial Services, where I now help women, individuals, families, veterans, and seniors navigate insurance, estate planning education, and legacy solutions with clarity and compassion. My work focuses on final expense planning, eldercare solutions, retirement planning, and building generational stability—especially for those who value faith, family, and community.

Today, I bring together my experience as an empowerment coach, teacher, leader, and consultant to serve others with integrity, excellence, and purpose. My mission is simple: to educate, empower, and equip people to steward their lives and legacies wisely—rooted in faith and guided by truth.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not at all—it hasn’t been a smooth road. And honestly, I think that’s what makes the journey meaningful.

Navigating the financial landscape came with a steep learning curve. Moving from law enforcement to education, empowerment coaching, and leadership in financial services required me to master new regulations, systems, and strategies—while still maintaining my commitment to integrity and service. There were moments (and still moments) when the industry felt overwhelming, complex, and even impersonal, especially when I knew the people I was serving needed clarity, compassion, and trust more than sales pitches.

Building credibility in a highly regulated and competitive space was another challenge. I had to learn how to communicate financial concepts in a way that was both accurate and accessible, without compromising my values or faith-based approach. Balancing compliance, client education, and relationship-building required patience, discipline, and perseverance.

There were also personal challenges—juggling my law enforcement career, leadership, family responsibilities, and the emotional weight of serving women, veterans, first responders, seniors, and families during some of the most vulnerable seasons of their lives. Carrying those stories while staying resilient wasn’t easy.

Yet, every challenge refined me. Each obstacle strengthened my confidence, sharpened my purpose, and reaffirmed my calling. The work is deeply rewarding because I get to help people gain peace of mind, protect their families, and build legacies that extend beyond finances and rooted in biblical principals.

This road has required faith, endurance, and obedience—but it has also been filled with growth, impact, and fulfillment. And I wouldn’t trade the journey for anything.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My work and life is rooted in service, integrity, and stewardship—principles that guide both my career as a Special Investigator and my business, Tamarisk Financial Services.

In my role as a Special Investigator, I conduct complex and sensitive investigations that help protect public trust, ensure accountability, and safeguard vulnerable individuals and families. This work requires discernment, attention to detail, and unwavering ethical standards. Every case carries real human impact, and I approach each investigation with professionalism, fairness, and respect, understanding that accuracy and integrity are not optional—they are essential.

Recently, I was recognized for going “Above and Beyond”, an honor that reflects my commitment to excellence, consistency, and service. I take pride in doing the work thoroughly and responsibly, even when it is challenging or unseen. The community I serve depends on systems that function with integrity, and my role helps ensure those systems remain trustworthy and effective.

These same values extend into my business, Tamarisk Financial Services. Tamarisk was founded on the belief that financial education and protection are forms of stewardship, not sales transactions. Through Tamarisk, I help individuals, families, veterans, and seniors understand their options for legacy planning, final expense and insurance coverage, and long-term financial protection—always with clarity, compassion, and transparency.

My faith is the foundation of everything I do. Biblical principles such as honesty, wisdom, accountability, and care for others shape how I investigate, how I lead, and how I serve clients. I believe in doing what is right, even when it is difficult, and in treating every person with dignity. My work—both in public service and in business—is a calling to serve well and steward trust faithfully.

What sets me apart is my ability to bridge public service, investigative expertise, and faith-based financial education and wisdom. My background as an educator, empowerment coach, and leader allows me to communicate complex information clearly, advocate effectively, and guide people through important decisions with confidence and peace of mind.

What I am most proud of is the trust I’ve been given—by the community I serve as a Special Investigator and by the families who choose Tamarisk Financial Services. Knowing that my work helps protect people, strengthen systems, and build legacies rooted in faith and wisdom makes this journey deeply meaningful.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Yes—there are several resources that consistently help me do my best in life and work. They ground me spiritually, sharpen my leadership, and keep my focus on purpose, stewardship, and excellence.

First and foremost, the Bible is my primary guide. Scripture shapes how I lead, serve, investigate, and build. Biblical principles such as wisdom, integrity, stewardship, accountability, diligence, and love for others inform every decision I make—professionally and personally. I don’t just read the Bible for inspiration; I apply it as a framework for how I live, work, and serve.

In the area of leadership and purpose, Dr. Myles Munroe has had a profound influence on me. His teachings on identity, assignment, and leadership from a Kingdom perspective helped me understand that leadership is not a title—it’s responsibility, service, and alignment with God-given purpose. His work continually reminds me to lead intentionally and with clarity.

For biblical entrepreneurship and wealth-building, Myron Golden has been instrumental. His teachings connect scripture with practical business strategy, reinforcing that building wealth God’s way is about value creation, obedience, and impact—not just profit. His perspective has helped shape how I approach Tamarisk Financial Services as a ministry of service and education, not simply a business.

When it comes to organizational leadership and financial discipline, Dave Ramsey’s EntreLeadership principles have been valuable. The emphasis on integrity, clear systems, accountability, and servant leadership aligns strongly with my values and helps ensure that both my work and business are built on a solid foundation.

Michael Gerber’s The E-Myth Revisited has been essential in helping me think strategically as a business owner. It reinforced the importance of building systems, working on the business—not just in it—and creating structures that support consistency, growth, and sustainability.

Finally, I’m deeply grateful for the leadership and spiritual covering of my pastor, Dr. Timothy W. Sloan, Senior Pastor of The Luke Church in Humble, TX. His teaching and the “Keep Standing Podcast” continually encourage resilience, faith, and perseverance—especially during challenging seasons. His messages remind me to remain anchored in Christ, committed to excellence, and confident in God’s promises.

Together, these resources help me stay aligned—spiritually grounded, purpose-driven, and equipped to serve with integrity in every area of my life.
