Check Out Taylor Kornfeind’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Kornfeind.

Hi Taylor, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am a producer/beatmaker and I go by the name, T the Human. I started playing drums around the age of 10. I played in and out of bands throughout high school and college. About ten years later I picked up a drum machine and sampler and have been making beats for the past 15 years.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Finding balance with other daily life activities was a hard road to navigate. But I always kept it in my head that if I wanted to I would. So I did. I made beats every day for years straight. I wanted to get better and learn as much as possible. I have never just done this. I always had to work full time to maintain the life style I saw myself living. Once you find your routine and can balance out everything else life throws at you it becomes a lot easier to maintain your creative space.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I make beats. Plan and simple. I love producing for artists. I like to supply the canvas for the artist to paint on. I try and leave enough space in all my music for just that. I primarily write boom bap hip hop style beats. Keeping it close to the sound of the early 90s/00s but adding my own soon and flavor to it. I want to make my music sound as natural as possible. As if a band is playing them. I am most proud of myself for landing a track with Ghostface and Nas. Those are legends in the game so to have produced a song with both of them on his something I could of never imagined.
