At 29 years old, Tony has worked in the auto repair business for over a decade. He began his career at 18 years old when he made the decision to leave high school in order to care for his mother. Despite everything he’s faced, name proudly holds a diploma in automotive technology and has built a career for himself in the automotive industry. He has gained valuable knowledge and experience working as both an employee and as a manager of independent repair shops around Houston.
From his early days cleaning shops to working up to a mechanic and eventually becoming a general manager, everything he has accomplished has aided him immensely in designing this new online hub for Houston’s community.
He was also inspired to start your mechaic Advisor after someone took advantage of his father into selling him repairs that were not needed!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
• Automotive repair industry was a huge learning curve learning differnt components and people skills.
• Taking care of my mother battling cancer going to work and making 300 dollars week when I frist started in the autorepair.
• Working and taking care of a father with heart condition.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I have a website /app that’s coming soon called yourmechanicadvisor. It’s a website directory for mechanic shops, these mechanic shops are personally recommended by me, because I have actually went to their shop and shook hands with the owner. I also conduct a survey of the mechanic shop tools, prices, and customer reviews
I have for now an IG account where I upload videos of myself and giving shop repair insights.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Transparency is important but also I want to rebuild the bridge between customers and mechanic shops, because nobody trusts a mechanic.
