Hi Victoria, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
From the time I was a little girl, I was always the one setting up pretend fashion shows in the living room and begging my mom to let me do her makeup. I loved everything that let me be creative and express that girly-girl side — lip gloss, glitter, high heels that were two sizes too big, all of it. Deep down, I think I always knew beauty would be part of my story. What started as playtime eventually turned into purpose, and now I’m living out the dream that little me couldn’t stop imagining.
I’ve always been the go-to person for doing my friends’ makeup for dances and special occasions, and over time, that passion only grew stronger. This past March, I took a leap of faith and officially launched Blushed & Bronzed by Victoria Elyse — my mobile makeup artistry business. It’s been the most rewarding experience, and I can truly say I have my dream job.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
To be honest, I don’t believe there’s such a thing as a “smooth road” in business. Before opening my company, I spent countless hours researching, refining my craft, and planning every detail. But once I launched, I quickly realized that some lessons can only be learned through experience. Makeup is such a personal and subjective art — no two faces are the same — and it takes time, confidence, and courage to truly find your style.
What this journey has taught me is that success requires more than talent; it takes constant learning, agility, and resilience. Beyond the artistry, there’s also a business side that demands strategy and structure. You have to build systems that keep everything organized so you can stay focused on what you love most — creating.
In the early stages, you’re figuring it all out as you go, and that comes with challenges. But giving myself permission to grow through the bumps in the road has shaped me into a stronger artist and businesswoman. There are definitely tough days, but my passion keeps me steady. Every time I say, “You know what, I’m going to do it again tomorrow,” I’m reminded that I’m living the dream I once prayed for.

I’m a professional makeup artist and the owner of Blushed & Bronzed by Victoria Elyse, a mobile makeup artistry business that brings curated glam straight to my clients. I specialize in creating glamorous, radiant, and timeless looks that celebrate confidence and individuality. I would describe my signature makeup style as doll-like and red-carpet-ready — soft yet striking, perfectly polished, and designed to enhance the beauty that’s already there. My clients often tell me they love how my work makes them feel like the most elevated version of themselves.
What I’m most proud of is the way I’m able to impact the people who sit in my chair. It’s such an honor that people trust me to make them feel and look stunning on their most special days — graduations, weddings, baby showers, pageants, and more. It never escapes me how important those moments are, and to be part of them in such a meaningful way means so much to me. Pictures last a lifetime, and knowing my clients will look back on those memories with fondness reminds me why I do what I do. I strive to make every moment even more special by helping my clients feel like the most elevated version of themselves.
What truly sets me apart is the way I curate every glam experience specifically for the person in my chair. I pride myself on tailoring each look to match their personality, style, and occasion. It’s not just about the makeup — it’s about how my clients feel throughout the entire process. From booking to the final touch, everything is personalized and intentional. My goal is for every person who sits in my chair to feel seen, valued, and beautiful — inside and out.
