Today we’d like to introduce you to Wendy Saik.
Hi Wendy, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Lover of Christ, Spoiled by my Husband, Mother of 3 Career Executive Recruiter turned Realtor, & Founder of Joyful Living Real Estate Group in 2015.
My love for coaching others, ability to stay level headed and strategic during negotiations compliments the Real Estate world very well. JLRG is a boutique brand by my design. “Boutique” meaning I provide a luxury, personal, one on one experience to all my clients, no matter the price point they are in. I am with my clients thru every step of the process, they are not handed off to an assistant, transaction coordinator or another agent. My boutique approach allows me to have a wonderful work life balance while I encourage others to DREAM of a lifestyle they love, & I guide them into making it a reality with their NEW HOME, using the Real Estate industry as a launch pad!
When I’m not helping others reach their home goals I spoiling my grandson, praying for my kiddos, working with my horses, raising chickens, enjoying wine with friends and just living this beautiful simple life with my husband.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Obstacles and Challenges are merely opportunities in disguise. It’s important to surround yourself with those that want you to succeed and are willing to help you. CB&A Realtors is just that for me! I run a consistent book of business annually of $5-6m, and also have a wonderful opportunity to support other Realtors with their business as the “Director of Agent Development” for the SE Office. I told myself in 2015, when I got started that if I ever had an opportunity to help others grow, I would take it – and here I am serving as a Real Estate Mentor, and “D.A.D.” for my broker, CB&A Realtors recently named one of the top places to work by the Houston Chronicle and Best Places to Work by HBJ! **I tend to agree with them both!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I love the mentoring aspect of my job I watching others thrive in this industry! I am an advocate and so grateful for our Veterans, Reservist, Active Duty, 1st Responders, Healthcare Workers and our Teachers. I do my best to give back to them at closing in the form of a “rebate of gratitude’ I am passionate about the VA Loan product and do my best to keep up with the changes and flexibility of this loan product. This allows me to best represent and help those awarded this benefit get their dream home using their VA Loan benefit!
As a Realtor I am required to keep my education up dated, my credentials include MRP, RENE, PSA. Native Texan, my knowledge of Houston spans far and wide. I grew up on the North side of Houston in the Spring Woodlands with family and friends in the Kingwood/Humble areas. These Communities are where my business is anchored. However, with a recent move to the southside of town, I have been afforded the opportunity to expand my business to the South side of Houston providing guidance to buyers and sellers in Pearland, West Columbia, Friendswood, Lake Jackson, Angleton, Alvin, Manvel, Rosharon and Needville areas while still maintaining my relationships on the north/northeast side of Houston.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
Risk, it always sounds scary until you put a spin on it….. There’s a saying amongst my girlfriends, “ya gotta risk it for the biscuit!” So it is in life, right?
If you are not stepping out of your comfort zone how can you grow? how can you learn new things? how can you possibly become the best version of yourself if you stay in your comfort zone…. so go after the biscuit!
