Hi Yesli, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My name is Yesli Miranda, I am 20 years old, and I am the owner of The Lash Jewel, a business where I specialize in applying individual lash extensions with a focus on safe, healthy application while helping my clients feel confident and beautiful. I grew up in Madisonville, TX and alongside my passion for the beauty industry, I’ve always been deeply interested in criminal justice and hope to continue pursuing that path through my education as well.
At 17, I became pregnant and gave birth at 18, just a week before my graduation. That season of my life changed everything for me. While I was navigating pregnancy and preparing for motherhood, I began to shift my mindset and focus more deeply on my future. It pushed me to want more for myself and my daughter and to prove that I was capable of achieving my goals no matter what.
After becoming a mom, I started building my business while also navigating college and working a full-time job. That balance alone is something I’m very proud of, and I know I still have so much more I want to accomplish.
As I was adjusting to motherhood and life, I found myself drawn to the beauty industry. That’s where I discovered lashes, and I quickly developed a passion for it. I began taking it seriously as a career and started building The Lash Jewel. I started college in Fall 2024, and while managing school, my business, and a full-time job, I continued pushing myself every day to grow.
In early January 2025, I toured a lash school in Bryan, and in that moment, I knew lashing was truly what I wanted to pursue.
I truly believe I’ve gotten to where I am today because of my faith in God. Every time I questioned my path, I prayed, and He continued to guide me through different opportunities and confirmations that reassured me I was on the right track.
What once felt like obstacles became the foundation of my strength and purpose. There were days I was exhausted—balancing motherhood, work, school, and building a business—but I kept showing up, even on the days I felt like I had nothing left. Motherhood didn’t stop my goals; it sharpened my vision.
My faith has been my foundation through every season. When I felt uncertain, prayer kept me grounded and gave me clarity when I needed it most.
Today, I stand proud of the woman I am becoming—still growing, still learning, but confident in my purpose. I have a lot more to accomplish, and I’m going for it. I am fully committed to growing The Lash Jewel while also obtaining my bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, all while continuing to be the best mother I can be for my daughter. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, but I know this is only the beginning of everything I plan to achieve for both of us.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, my journey has not been a smooth road at all—it’s been the complete opposite. If it wasn’t postpartum challenges, it was financial stress with college. If not that, it was personal and family struggles that I had to learn how to navigate while still trying to stay focused on my goals.
There were also times where I was mentally and physically exhausted from working two jobs, attending school, and building my business, all while also being a mom and raising my daughter. It felt overwhelming at times, and there were moments where I had to push through even when I was drained and felt like I had nothing left to give.
However, through every struggle, my faith has always been my foundation. It kept me grounded, motivated, and reminded me to keep going no matter how hard things got. Even in my most difficult seasons, I never gave up—I just kept pushing forward, trusting that everything I was going through was shaping me for something greater.

I am a licensed lash artist specializing in individual lash extensions, with a focus on volume and mega volume sets. I create customized lash sets designed to enhance each client’s natural beauty while still giving them a bold, confident look that fits their personal style.
I’m known for creating luxury lash experiences that make my clients feel confident the moment they leave my chair. I take pride in making sure every client feels comfortable, valued, and gets their money’s worth with every appointment. My goal has always been to build more than just a service — I’ve worked to build a brand and an experience through The Lash Jewel.
What sets me apart is my originality and consistency. I focus on building my business with my own vision, creativity, and work ethic instead of following what everyone else is doing. From networking in person to promoting my business every chance I get, everything I’ve built has come from discipline, self-motivation, and genuine passion for my craft.
What I’m most proud of is that I built everything from the ground up with no blueprint — just determination, consistency, and the willingness to keep learning and growing.
