Today we’d like to introduce you to Rhylan Minix, Kaylie Williams and Keyera Foster.
At the ages of 5 and 7, Kaylie and Rhylan began R&K Hair Jewels from being intrigued by watching their mother, who is a children’s braider, add beads onto the end of her client’s braids. They became so interested, they also wanted to learn how to add beads to the EZ-beader as well as pick out cute bows and add matching beads that would add a sparkle to the bows. This became the start of Rhylan and Kaylie’s Big Dream of wanting to sell bows and beads to their classmates in school and through their Mini empowerment Platform, these mini entrepreneurs goal is to teach Mini Queens of all ages how to practice self-love and positive thinking by giving Daily Encouragement that will Uplift and Encourage Your Mini Queens while adding a Sparkle To Their Crown.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Randkhairjewels has faced many struggles being Mini Queen, such as Influencers accepting product in exchange for promotion but not following through with giving their review and keeping the product that rhylan and kaylie worked so hard to put together. This discouraged them because they thought that their items wasn’t beautiful enough even though it was. Rhylan and kaylie also became discouraged when they noticed that their encouragement video wasn’t getting a lot of views, but their mom encouraged them to keep going and decided to create a YouTube station that will allow them to expand their brand.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Randkhairjewels is known for adding a sparkle to a Mini Queens head with bows, beads, and hair accessories. What sets them apart from other platforms is that they are also uplifting Mini Queens in the process by sending Empowering Messages with every order to remind a little girl how beautiful and how awesome they are. I am most proud that even through the lack of support, they are continuing to stay positive and encourage Mini Queens around the world.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
It makes me happy as their mother to see Rhylan and Kaylie at the age of 9 and 7 spreading joy to other Mini Queens during a time of sadness with the impact of COVID-19. Where children are now isolated and separated from their family and friends at school.
