Community Highlights: Meet Carla Rose of Rose Lux Aesthetics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carla Rose.

Hi Carla, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My Journey: From Anesthesia’s Precision to Aesthetics’ Artistry

My professional story began deep in the world of medicine. For over two decades, I was a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), which meant I spent my days in operating rooms, providing anesthesia for surgical patients. This was a career built on precision, profound medical knowledge, and an unwavering commitment to patient safety and comfort.

But after twenty years, I felt a gentle pull toward a different kind of care. I started to see the immense power that self-confidence has on a person’s overall quality of life. I realized I could use my medical foundation to help people feel better about themselves on the outside, which naturally helps them shine from the inside.

That’s when I embarked on my transition to aesthetics. I took all that disciplined medical training and channeled it into a new passion: enhancing natural beauty.

I dedicated myself to specialized training, earning certifications in a full range of aesthetic procedures—everything from Botox and Dermal Fillers to advanced techniques like PRP and Exosome Skin Therapy, Chemical Peels, and Microneedling.

Where I am today is the beautiful culmination of this experience: I’ve successfully combined my extensive medical background with a refined artistic vision. Now, I help my patients achieve natural, balanced results that truly enhance their beauty and powerfully boost their self-confidence. It’s the most rewarding work!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Has it been a smooth road? Absolutely not! But that’s where the growth happens, isn’t it?

The core challenges of this transition were steep, primarily because this wasn’t just a career switch—it was building an entirely new life while still maintaining the old one.

Learning a New Field at 50 years old: After mastering the highly specialized field of anesthesia for two decades, I was essentially starting over. Learning the anatomy, the products, and the artistry of aesthetics demands a completely different mindset. It took immense discipline and humility to become a student again and recognize that this industry moves fast.

The Double Duty Hustle: The biggest logistical struggle was juggling my work as a full-time CRNA with the rigorous demands of launching a new aesthetics business. It meant long days in the operating room, followed by nights and weekends dedicated to business plans, training, and building the brand. There were many moments where I felt like I was running two full-time jobs simultaneously.

The Legal Maze: Anesthesia has very defined protocols. The aesthetics world, on the other hand, comes with a whole new set of legal and regulatory aspects to master. Ensuring I was compliant, legally sound, and properly protected while providing excellent care was a huge initial undertaking that required time and dedicated expertise.

Gaining That First Client: Finally, the hustle to gain new clients was a huge shift. As a CRNA, my patients were assigned to me. In aesthetics, you have to build trust, market yourself, and prove your value every single day. That marketing and business development phase was demanding, but it taught me invaluable lessons in connection and community.

It was definitely a demanding path, but every struggle simply reaffirmed that I was pursuing a deep passion.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
What We Do & What We Specialize In:

At Rose Lux Aesthetics, we are a boutique medical aesthetics practice specializing in non-surgical facial rejuvenation. Our entire approach is built on the philosophy of enhancement, not alteration.

Our core offerings include the advanced procedures that require the most medical expertise and artistic eye:

Neurotoxins (Botox, etc.) and Dermal Fillers: These are not just injections; they are strategic placement to restore volume loss, smooth fine lines, and subtly lift features for a refreshed, never “done,” look.

Regenerative Therapies: We are known for our work with PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) and Exosome Skin Therapy—cutting-edge treatments that use your body’s own growth factors to stimulate collagen, heal the skin, and truly revitalize it from the cellular level.

Medical Skincare Treatments: This includes highly effective procedures like Chemical Peels and Microneedling designed to improve texture, tone, and skin health.

What Sets Us Apart: The CRNA Difference
What truly distinguishes Rose Lux Aesthetics is the foundation of my CRNA training. This is what I want every reader to understand:

Clinical Precision: My 20+ years in anesthesia instilled an unparalleled level of anatomical knowledge, sterile technique, and pharmacological expertise. When I am administering an injectable, I am not just hitting a spot; I am meticulously aware of the underlying facial vascularity and muscular structure. This leads to safer, more precise, and more predictable results.

Commitment to Safety: The CRNA role demands a constant, hyper-vigilant focus on patient vital signs and emergency preparedness. This advanced level of medical training means that patient safety is the absolute, non-negotiable priority in my practice.

The Aesthetic Eye: I combine this medical rigor with an artistic vision honed to achieve harmony and balance. My goal is to listen deeply to what you want and then use my expertise to deliver a result that makes you look like the most rested, beautiful version of yourself.

What I Am Most Proud of: Our Brand Mission
The thing I am most proud of, brand-wise, is our mission: To merge the rigorous standards of the operating room with the compassionate artistry of aesthetics.

Rose Lux is more than a med spa; it’s a space where medical excellence gives you the confidence to truly shine. We want our clients to leave feeling that their unique beauty has been celebrated and subtly elevated, leading to a profound boost in their self-confidence and overall quality of life.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?

My goal is to uplift and guide other highly skilled practitioners, particularly those in advanced nursing roles.

Mentorship: I am always open to mentoring and have mentored other CRNAs or advanced practice nurses who are considering or navigating the complex transition into aesthetics. The lessons I learned about legal compliance, business structure, and clinical artistry are valuable to share.

Medical Collaboration: For physicians or other specialty practices (e.g., dermatology, plastic surgery), I welcome opportunities to collaborate on complex patient cases or co-host educational events that blend surgical knowledge with non-surgical enhancement.
