Hi Carole, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
My love for retail started right after high school when I worked for the prestigious Parisian department store. Think of it as the Dillard’s of the southeast. I got married and moved across the country and became a stay-at-home mom of two for 20 years. I dove into retail again when I moved to Texas 15 years ago.
As I became an empty-nester I was recruited as a social media and retail manager for a local boutique. During this time, I learned how to embroider and started offering embroidery services to our customers. Soon after that, I had the opportunity to fulfill one of my biggest dreams to become a business owner in 2019. I opened a storefront in February 2020, that is how Heart Cru Boutique was born. We carry ladies’ apparel, shoes, jewelry, accessories, and gifts. We offer embroidery, screen printing services, and laser engraving & cutting services as well.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Our biggest struggle was facing the pandemic right when we opened our storefront in February of 2020. We are so grateful to the loyal customers that kept us afloat through our online business during that time.
The road has not been smooth especially because we are still facing the aftermath of the pandemic like shipping delays and an economic downturn.
On the flip side, we’ve been successful in getting our inventory and that’s why our customers keep coming back!
