I’ve always wanted to start my own business—I just didn’t know what it would be at first. My passion for event planning started when my sister was pregnant. I planned her baby shower and gender reveal, and that’s when I realized how much I loved bringing events to life. I knew I wanted to do something creative, but I also wanted it to be impactful.
Proposal planning stood out to me because it felt deeply personal. While people know about big wedding and event planners, proposals aren’t always the first thing that comes to mind—especially for the older crowd. But at my age, most of my friends are starting new chapters—getting engaged, buying homes, settling down—so it felt natural to step into this space. I saw how I could help not just strangers but also friends, family, and even colleagues make their proposals unforgettable.
Love Arc Events became my way of turning passion into purpose. Every proposal I set up reminds me why I love this business. It’s not just about decorations; it’s about creating a once-in-a-lifetime moment that people will remember forever. I love hearing different love stories, connecting with people, and helping bring their vision to life.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting Love Arc Events has been an amazing journey, but it definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. When I first started, one of the biggest challenges was simply getting people to understand what I do. Proposal planning isn’t something everyone immediately thinks of, so I had to work on educating people and showing them the value of having a professionally planned proposal.
Another challenge was building everything from scratch—figuring out pricing, packages, and logistics while making sure every proposal was unique and special. Since this isn’t a traditional event planning business, I didn’t have a clear roadmap to follow. I had to learn through trial and error, balancing creativity with business decisions.
Financially, it was also a challenge at first because I had to invest in materials, decorations, and marketing without knowing how quickly I’d get bookings. But I believed in what I was doing, and I knew if I put in the work, it would grow. Now, seeing Love Arc Events take off and being part of so many love stories makes all those struggles worth it.

Luck has played a role in my journey, but I believe hard work and taking initiative have been the biggest factors in building Love Arc Events. There have been moments of good luck—like meeting the right people at the right time or getting unexpected opportunities that helped my business grow. For example, word-of-mouth referrals and social media exposure have brought in clients I might not have reached otherwise.
At the same time, there have been challenges that some might call bad luck—setups not going as planned, unpredictable weather, or slower booking periods. But I see those moments as learning experiences rather than just bad luck. Every obstacle has taught me how to adapt, improve, and stay committed to my vision.
