Community Highlights: Meet Chase Manor of Compass

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chase Manor.

Hi Chase, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Forgive me if this story is all over the place—that’s how life was for me. Growing up, I was always drawn to the performing arts. My appreciation for theater and storytelling has shaped not only my creative ventures but also how I approach business.

My career has taken me through various roles—serving, bartending, office administration—but one thing remained constant: clocking in and out. When I moved to Houston, I knew it was time to build something of my own.

For years, people told me, “You should do real estate,” as if talking a little too much was all it took to sell homes. But getting licensed turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Real estate is far more complex than the glossy, drama-filled version people see on TV. There’s administrative work, marketing, lead generation, relationship building, and plenty of problem-solving behind the scenes. But at its core, real estate is about people—and that’s what drives me. I never wanted to clock in and out of a job again; I wanted a career that felt meaningful.

Most of my clients have been first-time homebuyers, and what I love most is being part of their story. A home is more than four walls—it’s a place where memories are made and where people build their futures. Understanding their needs and finding a home that fits them is the most rewarding part of what I do.

Beyond real estate, I’m a storyteller at heart. Screenwriting has brought me back to my creative roots, and I’ve found that my passion for storytelling carries over into my work—whether it’s sharing the history of a home with a buyer or crafting the perfect listing description for a seller. We all owe it to ourselves to be well-rounded, and I’m grateful that my love for storytelling connects so seamlessly with my career.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Haha, no. Definitely not. But bumps in the road build character and grit. Like many people, I spent my early 20s partying, socializing, and not really thinking about my future. Choosing to live a sober lifestyle changed everything—it gave me the clarity to recognize the ambition that had always been there. Surprise, surprise—waking up with a clear mind every day makes it a lot easier to make the best decisions for myself.

One of the more recent challenges I faced was switching brokerages to Compass. It was a tough decision. Sometimes, we convince ourselves that staying in a less-than-ideal situation is safer than stepping into the unknown. But I’ve learned to trust my instincts. Everything in life has its season, and recognizing when it’s time to move on is crucial. The timing of my transition couldn’t have been better, and the connections and opportunities I’ve gained since making the switch have only reinforced that I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Like any industry, real estate has its share of bad agents, but my goal is to be the best advocate for my clients. I lead with honesty and integrity while staying true to myself. If I don’t know the answer to something, I won’t make something up on the spot—I’ll find out and get back to you by the end of the day. Real estate transactions can be stressful, and my job is to make the process as seamless and enjoyable as possible.

A home is more than just a financial investment—it’s deeply personal. It’s where people unwind after long days, celebrate holidays with loved ones, watch their kids take their first steps, or simply curl up on the couch for a Netflix binge. I never lose sight of that emotional connection, and I treat every transaction with the care and attention it deserves.

That said, I also believe real estate doesn’t have to be all stress and seriousness. I make the process fun. I work hard, I get the job done, but I also bring a lighthearted approach to keep my clients at ease. I can’t think of a single transaction I’ve had where we didn’t share a laugh—that’s part of my brand.

I consider myself more of a real estate advisor than just an agent. I leverage the relationships I’ve built to provide a concierge-like experience for my clients. Whether they need a general contractor, plumber, landscape architect, or mortgage broker, I have trusted professionals to refer. I guide buyers through their purchases, sellers through their listings, and renters through their leases—always ensuring they have the right information and support to make the best decisions.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
I lived in Maui for a few years growing up, and that’s where I discovered my love for the performing arts. One of my favorite memories was a huge field day at school, where I got to be part of the halftime performance. A bunch of us sang and danced to Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride—Lilo & Stitch had just come out, and the excitement was electric. There was so much joy in the air, especially with this beautiful new movie celebrating the islands. And let me tell you, all the kids were fearless AND on beat. Usually, with kids, it’s one or the other—but we nailed it. Go us!
