Today we’d like to introduce you to Chloe Thompson.
Hi Chloe, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am a lifestyle and portrait photographer; I started my business, Chloe Lynn Photography when I was a senior in high school about 3 years ago. I got busy with school and went off to college, so I didn’t keep up with the business. This summer, I decided to pick my camera back up and decided to continue with my photography business again! I started studying my camera and learning all the different aspects and settings on it. I have always had a love and passion for photography, and it has always been my dream to have my own photography business. I am currently a senior at Stephen F. Austin State University, so I am pursuing my business in Nacogdoches, as well as the Houston area in my hometown. I capture high school and college seniors, couples, branding, groups, etc.! I absolutely enjoy being able to capture important moments in life and help people feel confident behind the camera. I am so excited to share my story and my love for photography!!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not always been a smooth road! When I first started my business 3 years ago, my personal life became really busy when going off to college. I was navigating a whole new environment and trying to focus on my classes, so it was hard to keep up with photography. These past few years, I’ve had a lot of time to think about my future and what I want to do after college. I have always dreamed of having my own photography business, so I decided to pursue my passion and start my business back up again! Of course, it hasn’t been easy, and there are many struggles that I have faced but have been able to overcome. When I first started, I struggled a lot with comparing myself to other photographers. I felt like I didn’t know enough and wasn’t qualified to start my own business. This time starting my business, I went into it more confident in myself and my business. I devoted more time into my experience, education, and my personal editing style.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next, you can tell us a bit more about your business.
I am a portrait, couple, and senior photographer located in East Texas and the Houston area! I offer 15-minute, 30-minute, and hour sessions.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Definitely photography! I enjoy being behind the camera and getting to capture all the special moments in life. I enjoy getting to help others feel confident in theirselves in front of the camera.
