Connie Sprajc

Hi Connie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I am a transformative extension artist here in Houston, Texas. I help give women longer, fuller hair through hair extensions.

My love of hair extensions began back in cosmetology school when I first learned about hair extensions and the positive impact they had on women’s self-esteem. I began specializing in hair extensions and hair loss solutions halfway through my career.

I have become an expert in several different extension methods and am always creating new ways to give my guests the most seamless hair extension transformations.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Becoming an extension artist is unlike anything I have ever done. There are no two heads of hair that are the same. So every time I work on someone’s hair I am creating something new entirely and it is completely custom to that person.

From the color and texture of someone’s hair to their unique lifestyle, these are all factors I consider when creating an extension transformation. This type of work requires experience, a trained eye, and an understanding of the client’s vision for her hair.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I own a private salon where I provide luxury hair extension services. Specifically, sew-in and individually bonded extensions. What sets me apart is that I am an expert in creating custom hair enhancements using the most up-to-date extension methods for women of all ages, hair types, and, most recently, women experiencing hair loss.

I am most proud of the brand I created because it reflects how I approach hair, health, and my guest’s hair extension needs. My goal is to provide my guests with education- which extension would best suit their hair, their lifestyle, and how to protect their hair investment, relief that there is a solution to their hair challenges and that I will only do what is safe and best for their hair.

What I want the readers to know about Highbrow Hair is that there is a solution for short and thinning hair, and I can help them find the best option for them through hair extensions and hair enhancements.

Any big plans?
I have stepped into the space of hair loss solutions and will be introducing a new extension method this month for women who suffer from alopecia, chemical breakage, and hair thinning on the top of their heads.

It utilizes eyelash extension technology, where I can adhere strands of hair for an invisible hair extension application for the most visible places on the head. In these areas where a traditional extension would not be well suited, women will now have relief that once there is a bald spot on their head, it can now be concealed with ease.

Later this year, I will also introduce an extension method called a mesh integration system. This extension is for women with hair that is not thick enough for an extension and will now be able to use a mesh lining on their head to create a semi-permanent wig that is completely safe for their hair and even more comfortable to wear.
