Community Highlights: Meet Dan’s Seafood & Wings

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dan’s Seafood & Wings. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Dan’s Seafood & Wings opened in 2015 on the Northeast side of Houston, serving the communities of Channelview, Sheldon, Cloverleaf and Galena Park. Since then, Dan’s has been serving the best-boiled shrimp and fried fish in Houston. Dan’s is family-owned and operated and is heavily involved in the community. Dan’s sponsors several youth leagues, non-profits, and churches in the area to support the community.

Dan opened its second location in 2019 on the Southwest side of Houston, serving the communities of Westchase, Sharpstown, Galleria, and Alief.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The team at Dan’s has met each challenge with a great attitude and sense of community. When Hurricane Harvey destroyed homes all over Houston in 2017, the team at Dan’s was quick to respond. They came together and cooked for many families left stranded by the storm. When the pandemic shut down the city in 2020, the team at Dan’s came to the aid of many communities. They cooked and brought food to Churches, schools, and hospitals all over the city. Finally, during the Winter storm in 2021, the team at Dan’s opened its doors to help their neighbors find food and shelter.

They say if you want to go fast, you go alone. But if you want to go far, you go together. Dan’s believes they have a responsibility to support the community that supports them.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Dan’s Seafood & Wings is best known for its Spicy Boiled Shrimp and Fried Fish. In addition to seafood, Dan’s also has amazing Shrimp Fried Rice and Chicken Lo Mein cooked on a traditional wok. Dan’s also serves Chicken Wings that are hand-tossed in sauces made from scratch.
