My fascination with fine timepieces started in 2023, when I purchased my first Rolex. From the moment I held it, I was hooked. I quickly realized that watches weren’t just accessories—they were investments, statements of craftsmanship, and symbols of achievement. That passion led me to dive deeper into the world of luxury watches, studying their history, mechanics, and market trends.
Fueled by this newfound enthusiasm, I decided to turn my passion into a business. I founded Texas Precision Timepieces with the goal of providing fellow watch enthusiasts and collectors with exceptional timepieces, outstanding service, and a trusted buying experience. Today, we take pride in sourcing and offering some of the finest watches on the market, ensuring our clients receive only the best.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like any business, starting Texas Precision Timepieces has been an exciting but challenging journey. It hasn’t always been a smooth road, but every challenge has been a learning experience that has helped shape the business.
One of the biggest hurdles was building trust in a competitive market. The luxury watch industry is filled with experienced dealers, and as a new business, earning credibility took time. People need to know they’re buying from a reputable source, so I focused heavily on transparency, authenticity, and delivering exceptional service to every client.
Another challenge was sourcing high-quality timepieces at fair prices. The market is constantly fluctuating, and finding inventory that meets both collector demand and investment value requires patience and strong industry connections. I quickly learned that relationships are everything in this business—having the right network makes all the difference.
Additionally, navigating the complexities of authentication and pricing was something I had to master early on. The last thing any dealer wants is to unknowingly deal with a counterfeit or receive a timepiece that isn’t in the condition it was described. That’s why I’ve put strict sourcing and verification processes in place to ensure every watch is 100% authentic and fairly valued. I’ve partnered with local dealers who help guide me in any authentication questions I have, to ensure my clients receive the best experience with Texas Precision Timepieces.
Despite these challenges, the journey has been incredibly rewarding. Seeing clients find their dream timepieces, helping first-time buyers make confident investments, and building a business rooted in trust, passion, and precision makes it all worth it. Every struggle has been a steppingstone to growth, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

If you’re just getting started in the world of luxury watches—whether as a collector, investor, or entrepreneur—here are a few key things I’ve learned along the way:

2️⃣ Buy from Trusted Sources – Authenticity is everything in the watch world. Work with reputable dealers and always verify the legitimacy of a timepiece before making a purchase. If a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is.
3️⃣ Start with a Watch You Love – Your first luxury watch should be something that speaks to you. Don’t buy just for investment purposes—find a piece that you’ll enjoy wearing and appreciating.
4️⃣ Network & Learn from Others – Connect with fellow watch enthusiasts, join online forums, and attend watch events. The watch community is incredibly passionate, and you can learn a lot from those with experience.
5️⃣ Patience Pays Off – Whether you’re looking for the right watch or trying to grow a business in the industry, patience is key. Quality and trust take time to build, but they’re worth it in the long run.
What I Wish I Knew Starting Out
I wish I had understood how important relationships are in this business. Building trust with clients, dealers, and collectors is just as valuable as knowing the watches themselves. Transparency, honesty, and great customer service go a long way in setting yourself apart. Also, ensure you have the time and only buy enough stock with funds that you are comfortable in not seeing for a while. I’ve spent countless hours sourcing and finding timepieces for clients, which don’t always lead to a sale. Sometimes timing just doesn’t work out. Also, some products don’t sell as fast as you would wish, especially if you are working on building your reputation. Don’t spend all your cash on timepieces and put yourself in a financial burden if they don’t sell to clients as fast as you would want.
