Community Highlights: Meet Dr. Ndidi Ihim of Avim Systems

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Ndidi Ihim. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Dr. Ndidi Ihim, moved to the United States at the early age of 16. As a first-generation immigrant, she became interested in finding out how the American system worked in all aspect, whether financially, academically, economically, or in the healthcare system. As a quick learner, she picked up all the new information and applied it as quickly as possible.

She was never intimidated by anyone and would ask her superiors and teachers questions she pondered about.
This attitude led her to become a pharmacist turned entrepreneur, author, financial professional, and investor. She has a global podcast that reaches forty million people around the world called Wellness Money Talk. She is engrossed in inspiring others to achieve their dreams of building wealth and equipping them to live life to the fullest by thoroughly changing the way they invest their time and energy. In 2013, she graduated cum luade with a doctorate of pharmacy degree from Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas.

While at TSU, Dr. Ihim was heavily involved in leadership as she was the president, vice-president, and fundraising committee chair of the African Pharmacist Student Association (APSA), historian of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacy (ASHP), and heartburn committee chair of American Pharmacy Association (APhA). She, along with her fundraising committee, was able to raise over $11,000 to provide scholarships for outstanding members and students of APSA in 2012.

She runs her own financial and wellness firm, helping entrepreneurs and other professionals with their wealth creation and leading a naturally healthy lifestyle.

Her passion for self-development and being a motivated individual, have catapulted her to places she could only imagine. It is that motivation that gives you the push to go out, do whatever you want, and get whatever you want.

Dr. Ihim’s mission is to simply inspire minority individuals to live their dreams and be the person to whom people say, “Because of you, I never gave up.”

Ndidi gladly shares this thing called life with her college sweetheart, now husband, and their three children.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been smooth from the minute I landed on this soil. The family we were to stay with made it especially unwelcoming and uncomfortable to bear. At one point, we were kicked out of the house we stayed because they did not want us there. We shared a one-bedroom apartment as we tried to pick up our life from the devastation we faced. Keep in mind we (my family and I) came from a comfortable life so this was an all-new low. We managed though. Something that was made to break us built us up to break out of that scarcity mentality to living a fulfilled life today.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We are a wealth and wellness consulting firm. We help entrepreneurs and professionals learn how to create wealth that can last through several generations and on the wellness side we help people struggling with illnesses they have suffered with for a long time reverse them in natural ways.

After losing my father to cancer 10 years ago and watching how most of his savings had gone towards his treatment, I saw it imperative to learn not just about alternative medicine but also about both finances.

You will be amazed how these two play the most important role at the end of our lives.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I relax by singing, dancing, and listening to mind-stimulating podcasts.
