Community Highlights: Meet Ebone’ Winters of Fit Mode Bootcamp

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ebone’ Winters

Hi Ebone’, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I suffered from a serve case of post postpartum depression after having my daughter. I sought out therapy and during a session, I explained to the therapist I did not feel like myself since having my daughter. The therapist recommended doing something I enjoyed that made me feel good. In my family we have a saying…..”if you look good…..you feel good!” So I started working out…….I figured working out would help me look good which entitle would make me feel good and it did just that. I started feeling better than ever and my body started to look amazing! Throughout my fitness journey I met other mothers who lost a little piece of themselves after giving birth and needed a little push and accountability to get their body mind and souls back on track and sought out my assistance after watching my transformation….and that’s how Fit Mode Bootcamp was formed.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Initially it was supposed to be a couple of moms at my daughter school who joined in on my workouts. But after a slow start within a year it grew into 9 monthly paying clients and growing.

We’ve been impressed with Fit Mode Bootcamp , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Fit Mode Bootcamp is a female only outdoor bootcamp class. We specialize in fitness and strength in the woman body and mind. Fit Mode Bootcamp is known for sisterhood togetherness and motivation. I’m most proud of sisterhood formed within Fit Mode Bootcamp. Working out can be fun when you doing it with the right group of woman.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Not so much of it is luck, more so God blessed me with the vision of Fit Mode Bootcamp. During my episode of postpartum depression, I went through a rough time and promised myself I would help any woman I came across who needed help loving themselves again.
