Today we’d like to introduce you to Eboni Wafer.
Hi Eboni, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Honestly, Eb & Flow Wellness wasn’t something I set out to create—it grew out of who I am and what I love. Movement has always been a big part of my life. I’ve been a dancer since I was a little girl—long before I understood how deeply it would shape me. Dance led me to become a high school dance team director, where I spent years helping students grow in their skills, confidence, and discipline. But what I didn’t realize at the time was that I was sleeping on a gift. God had given me the gift of movement, teaching and the ability to connect deeply with others—not just for performance, but for healing, growth, and purpose.
It wasn’t until I went through my own healing journey that everything shifted. My divorce was one of the hardest seasons of my life, forcing me to sit with emotions I wanted to avoid and truly face myself. Therapy helped me process and rebuild, but it was my personal yoga practice that taught me how to be still, embrace discomfort, and listen—not just to myself, but to God. Movement had always been my outlet, but I began to see it as something deeper, something transformative. And through it all, God revealed that this gift—this healing—wasn’t just for me. It was something I was meant to share.
After years of teaching in the classroom, I felt called to bring something deeper to my community. That’s what sparked Eb & Flow Wellness. I wanted to create a space where movement meets mindfulness, where people can show up exactly as they are and find what they need—whether that’s strength, stillness, or something in between.
That’s why my work is twofold. With the dancers I work with, I integrate mindfulness and social-emotional connection into their training because I know how much that matters beyond just nailing a routine. And with my yoga practice, I guide others in slowing down, breathing deeper, and moving with intention.
Whether it’s on the mat or the dance floor, the goal is the same—helping people tap into freedom, strength, and purpose through movement. Now, I get to do what I love every day, fully walking in what God has called me to do.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Smooth road? Not even close! Stepping into entrepreneurship has been a journey filled with doubt, fear, and plenty of God, are You sure about this? moments. When I started, imposter syndrome hit hard—I knew I had the experience, passion, and heart for this work, but that little voice of doubt kept asking, Will people really value what I have to offer?
Financially, it’s been a shift, too. Leaving the stability of a traditional job for the unknown required a leap of faith. There are still seasons where I have to remind myself why I started, especially when things aren’t moving as fast as I’d like. Having a vision is one thing—bringing it to life, finding clients, and sustaining it is another. It takes patience, persistence, and a whole lot of trust.
And honestly? I still struggle. Some days I feel confident in my calling; other days, doubt creeps in. Making sure I heard God correctly, trusting His plan even when I don’t have all the answers—that’s an ongoing challenge. But I’ve learned that obedience is greater than certainty.
Through every struggle, God reminds me I’m on the right path. Whether it’s an unexpected opportunity or a message from someone impacted by my work, He always confirms His plan in ways I never saw coming.
So no, the road hasn’t been smooth. But every challenge has shaped me—deepened my faith, refined my purpose, and made every win, big or small, that much sweeter. And at the end of the day, I’d rather be on this unpredictable, faith-filled journey than playing it safe and wondering, What if?
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Eb & Flow Wellness is where movement meets mindfulness. My mission is to help people—whether dancers in training or adults on the mat—connect with their bodies, breathe deeper, and move with intention. But beyond movement, I’m passionate about building community. In a world where real connection is missing, I want Eb & Flow Wellness to be a space where people feel seen, supported, and encouraged—not just by me, but by each other.
I specialize in two areas: working with middle and high school dance programs and guiding adults through yoga and wellness practices. With my dancers, I go beyond technique, integrating mindfulness, breathwork, and social-emotional connection into their training. Success isn’t just about performing well—it’s about confidence, discipline, and the mindset they carry beyond the floor. In my yoga sessions, I create space for people to slow down, release stress, and show up exactly as they are. My goal is always to help people move with purpose—physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally.
What sets Eb & Flow apart is the heart behind it. This isn’t just about flexibility or fitness—it’s about transformation and connection. I blend movement, mindfulness, and faith in an approachable way, creating an experience that goes beyond the physical. More than anything, I want people to leave my sessions feeling stronger, more grounded, and deeply connected—to themselves and to those around them.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
