Hi Ehi, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I started off with a traditional brick ‘n mortar business where I managed all the ins and outs of running a brick ‘n mortar business, the joy and sometimes pain of managing a physical building and infrastructure; then we had a little glitch in the business that forced us to take a break, and this is how Houston Mobile Massages was birthed. My business was birthed from a place of forced innovation where I had to think fast on my feet, and the fastest way to keep serving clients with the promise of 360-degree transformation from the inside out was the mobile massage spa.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Hah! My journey to mobile transformation has been anything but smooth! First off coming into the spa & cosmetology industry with little or no experience but a bag of dreams and hopes of implementing everything I knew about building a successful business has been stuffed with one challenge or the other. I struggled with understanding the industry of retaining great quality talent, I struggled with operations and building consistent traffic for the business. Everything I knew about building a multiple six-figure and seven-figure business seem to take a while to apply and transfer over, so I had to learn quickly on my feet and make quick decisions. Every day as the CEO of my business, I learn a couple things, and I had to get really good at documenting my lessons and wins so I could keep replicating what was working and do less of what was not as effective. Running this business might as well be the equivalent to getting an MBA on wheels!
