Hi Gabrielle, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I was raised in Jackson, the capital of Mississippi; a small city where phrases like “I’m glad I made it out,” “only the strong survive,” and “it’s survival of the fittest” were commonly heard growing up. I grew up navigating two very different experiences within my family. On one side, I often felt like the “black sheep,” while on the other, I was celebrated and seen as the “GOAT.” That contrast shaped a lot of how I viewed myself and the world around me.
Living in that environment taught me resilience at an early age and shaped my determination to build a life that went beyond limitations and circumstances.
In 2012, I graduated from Murrah High School, I later attended University of Mississippi, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Integrated Marketing Communication in 2017, specializing in magazine management and an emphasis in public relations. My time there strengthened my passion for branding, storytelling, media, and communication.
I always knew I wanted to become an entrepreneur — I just didn’t know exactly what industry I wanted to build my business in. Over time, I realized my passion was rooted in helping people create financial opportunities and elevate their lives.
In 2022, I launched GAJ Financial Services, now known as Premier Icon Consulting LLC Since then, I’ve built a multifaceted business that allows me to serve others in several capacities. Today, I operate as a service bureau owner, tax professional, mentor, travel broker, business funding consultant, and credit repair specialist all in one.
For me, entrepreneurship is bigger than owning a business — it’s about creating impact, empowering others, and building a legacy rooted in growth, freedom, and transformation.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
When I first entered the tax industry in 2021, the journey was anything but easy. I experienced situations where mentors and service bureaus I trusted took money from me, and I also witnessed others being taken advantage of as well. At the time, the industry felt extremely deceitful and discouraging, especially for someone who entered it with genuine intentions and a desire to build something meaningful.
There were moments when I questioned whether I should continue, because the environment I stepped into lacked the integrity and leadership I expected to find. But through every setback, I remained grounded in my faith, perseverance, and belief that my circumstances would not define my future.
Looking back now, those experiences taught me some of the most valuable lessons about discernment, resilience, and the importance of conducting business with honesty and integrity. While the road was not easy at all, those challenges ultimately helped shape the leader and entrepreneur I am today.

My business, Premier Icon Consulting LLC, was created with one mission in mind — helping individuals elevate their financial success and step confidently into entrepreneurship. At Premier Icon Consulting, we assist clients with both business and personal tax preparation while also helping aspiring entrepreneurs become service bureaus and EROs (Electronic Return Originators) within the tax and financial services industry.
Beyond taxes, we provide credit repair services and business funding mentorship for individuals who are ready to strengthen their financial foundation and grow personally and professionally. I also serve as a travel broker, helping those who are passionate about travel launch their own travel agencies and build businesses doing something they genuinely enjoy.
What truly sets my brand apart is my passion for helping others succeed. I’m deeply driven by seeing people produce real results and transform their lives. For me, it’s bigger than business — it’s about helping people recognize their potential and giving them the tools, guidance, and confidence to elevate to the next level.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned throughout my journey in this industry is the power of trusting my own intuition. It may sound simple or even cliché, but in this space, following your gut is essential.
You have to develop a strong mind of your own and be willing to put in the work, even when the path isn’t clear. I quickly learned that no one is going to hand you all the answers or give you a shortcut to success. In many cases, people are not willing to pour into you at a level that allows you to surpass them.
One of the toughest but most valuable lessons I had to learn was to rely on myself — to trust my instincts, make my own decisions, and move forward even when I didn’t have everything figured out. I had to be willing to pursue what I wanted, even if I didn’t know exactly where to start.
That mindset shift changed everything for me.
