Community Highlights: Meet Gloria Villa of Gabali Massage LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gloria Villa.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I began offering Reiki treatments in 2008. As word spread, clients began requesting Deep Tissue Massage, which inspired me to study massage therapy in 2010 and become a Massage Instructor in 2015. I worked in spa environments for several years until my beloved 14 years old dog required around-the-clock care. After he passed in 2018, I experienced depression and was not able to return to work in the Spa I used to work. To overcome depression, I started to provide mobile massages and then I decided to open my own practice, naming it in honor of my cherished late dogs. My passion lies in compassionately helping clients manage stress and pain with a variety of treatments.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being a solo practitioner requires significant time and dedication. While demanding, I cherish the independence. Marketing is a particular challenge as I prefer traditional methods over moderns digital marketing. Fortunately, loyal clients and word-of-mouth referrals drive much of my business growth.
Overcoming depression after losing my fur baby, took me a couple of years but He took me out of my comfort zone and motivated me to start the business to honor my beloved late dogs (Gambusino, Bart and Lisa) GABALI. With they by my side in spirit what can go wrong? They taught me unconditional love. Now my little one Oliver, helps me ground and cuddles with me on our free time.
