Community Highlights: Meet Godbodies Fit of God Bodies Fitness LLC.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Godbodies Fit

Hi GodBodies, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Delonte’ and Jessica Allen are high school sweethearts who met at Cypress Ridge H.S. in 2007. They participated in varsity basketball and varsity track and field! Delonte’ and Jess always knew they would be together and were super competitive whenever they played sports. They decided to get married after college in 2019 and pursue their first fitness LLC together after experiencing early burnout from the typical 9-5’s. They have two beautiful children, their son, ten, and daughter, 3. They established God Bodies Fitness during the 2020 pandemic. They’re known for impacting communities with outdoor workouts and are a passionate mobile fitness company.
“When we decided to get closer to God, we really started to see a spiritual change that impacted our lives forever. We lost our home, cars, and jobs all within 90 days. It was devastating and rewarding because it pushed us into a positive mindset to fight back as entrepreneurs. We took time to rebuild our faith and replaced our homes, cars, and jobs within those same 90 days. God is good!”
Hurricane Beryl sent us to Cypress, TX. We knew we wanted to leave the city with so much noise, traffic, and terrible drivers. Cypress is so peaceful, giving clarity and a new community to serve as fitness professionals.
Jessica went into a depression while teaching for a local school district in March 2024. “It was a Monday night, and I wanted to try this hip-hop step aerobics class to relieve some stress I was experiencing as a math teacher. I went by myself for the 1st time and loved it so much that I brought some friends with me next time.” Jess and her friends enjoyed the class because it helps with heart health and motor coordination, improves mood, and more. She knew she wanted to teach but not 8th-grade math. After just a few weeks, Jess pursued her hip-hop step aerobics certification. She teaches at a local health facility near their new home on Fridays.
Delonte has such a big heart for the game of basketball. He has experience as a college and overseas professional. He became the Head Basketball Coach of the local school district and led teams to the playoffs back-to-back years with his knowledge and a very high IQ. His passion has impacted thousands of individuals over the years. Delonte has over ten years of experience as a fitness professional. “I love Cypress because it gives me the space to help those who want to know more about the basics of basketball along with improvement for the advanced players & more.”
Delonte loves to serve all age groups, from kids to older adults. He also has a certification as yoga instructor and water aerobics. Delonte is a champion! God Bodies Fitness wouldn’t be the same without the fantastic creativity in his programs. He is also a strength and conditioning coach. There’s nothing this guy can’t do!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, The Pandemic took us for a hard turn in the earlier years, then finding our footing after in the fitness industry while trying to balance kids, full-time jobs, and entrepreneurship. “We almost lost ourselves in the daily grind of life,” We lost our home, cars, and jobs. We had to conquer these things with God and therapy, in turn made our love and commitment for one another grow stronger.

We’ve been impressed with God Bodies Fitness LLC., but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

We specialize in helping individuals with acute to chronic health conditions. We also service those without any major health and fitness health concerns too! This sets us a part so much because a ton of people believe they are stuck coping with life day by day in agony. That is not true! Jessica and Delonte both suffer from acute and chronic health conditions. Check out their youtube channel for more details: @GBFITTV.
Also, we believe that what sets us a part is that we are Christian based. We knew that naming our LLC with the name “God” inside of the name was bold! Our mission to help as many people sharpen up their skills when it comes to their temple. You only have one body here on earth. We find joy in showing up for others. We show others the face of God through our services & top notch customer service especially if they may never step foot into a church again. Once again, our mission is Faith. Food, & Fitness.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson that we’ve learned along our j0urney of entrepreneurship is to remain consistent as much as possible. Jessica took a break from GBfitness to pursue a teaching career. “I was thinking that I could work full time and fuel the business.” It took her almost two years of stepping away from her purpose. Delonte stayed in business but it took away a ton of marketing time. When work was other with from her 9-5, she would experience extreme burn out. The most important lesson they learned as entrepreneurs was that you must stick together no matter what & at all cost.
