Hi Jennifer, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Graceful Crafts By Jenn began after I felt a nudge from God to use my creativity as a way to serve him and give back to the community. What started as a passion for creating quickly grew into a business centered on faith, encouragement, and serving others through custom gifts and apparel. I wanted to create products that helped people celebrate life’s special moments with the intention of spreading God’s love and sharing His word through the work I do.
Like many small business owners, my journey has come with its share of challenges. Building a business while working full-time has required a lot of perseverance, flexibility, and faith. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is patience. In the beginning, I wanted everything to happen quickly, but over time God has shown me that growth is a process. Every order, every obstacle, and every milestone has helped shape me into both a stronger entrepreneur and a stronger person.
Today, Graceful Crafts By Jenn continues to grow through the support of an incredible community and customers who trust me to bring their ideas to life. Alongside my creative business, I’ve also expanded my entrepreneurial journey into the life insurance industry, where I have the opportunity to help individuals and families protect what matters most. While these businesses are very different, they share the same foundation: serving others with excellence, building genuine relationships, and allowing my faith to guide the work I do.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not. Like most entrepreneurs, my journey has had its share of challenges. Personally, one of the biggest has been balancing life as a single mom while working a full-time job and building two businesses. There have been long days, late nights, and moments where I questioned whether I could keep up with it all. Learning how to manage my time, wear multiple hats, and still be present for my son hasn’t always been easy.
There have also been moments of self-doubt, slow seasons, and times when things didn’t go as planned. But each challenge has strengthened my faith and reminded me why I started in the first place. I’ve learned to trust God’s timing, even when I couldn’t see the bigger picture.
At the same time, this journey has been incredibly rewarding. I’ve met so many amazing people along the way, built meaningful relationships, and had the opportunity to encourage others through both of my businesses. One of the greatest blessings has been being able to share God’s love and light with the people I meet. That has always been the heart behind everything I do, and it’s what continues to motivate me every day.
