Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Zamora.
Hi Jessica, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
The pandemic made us all very vulnerable to the job market. One thing the pandemic taught me was to not rely on a company to make decisions for me. I knew that I had to go into business for myself so that I could start and grow my generational wealth. I always turned to real estate as the safest form of investment. In looking at my family and friends I noticed there was a true void in getting educated in real estate. Most of our minority communities don’t have the resources to get the knowledge of real estate. We sometimes feel that because our parents might not have owned property, or maybe even our grandparents haven’t owned property that’s probably something that can’t be done. So, I wanted to help our community by breaking those generational curses through the education of real estate and simplifying the steps of homeownership. And now I’m proud to say that the small goal of helping families accomplish their homeownership goals has evolved into me becoming a Broker/Owner of my own real estate company Truly Blessed Realty Group.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like anything new, you won’t know it all and you won’t have it all figured out right away. It’s a great idea to align yourself with mentors that can help guide you to figure things out. Don’t look at your mishaps as mistakes but instead accept that they are lessons learned. You have to realize there are no mistakes just tough lessons you learned. Not every idea will be a good one, but it’s deciding on whether you want to dwell on your problem or just figure it out and make it work. Don’t expect a smooth journey but enjoy the twists and turns of the journey.

I enjoy Sound Baths. I have recently discovered the amazing peace of Sound Baths, and it is truly one of the most relaxing things I have found in a really long time. It’s extremely hard as a business owner, mom, wife, daughter, sister, etc. to quiet the mind and the sound bath has really helped me achieve that inner peace. I recommend finding and indulging in whatever self-care works for you. We can’t service others without taking care of yourself first.
