Hi Jordan, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve always been a creative entrepreneur with a vision for freedom. From a young age, I knew that owning my own business, doing something I loved would be the path to achieving it.
With over 12 years of experience in the digital marketing space, I was able to take everything I learned and pour it into my own brand and business. That’s how Kozy Brand was created.
Kozy was founded by me and my friend, Momolu Sherif, two young creatives with a shared vision: to express freedom and promote positive living through fashion. For us, living “Kozy and free” means elevating your lifestyle while staying true to comfort and that’s where our story began.
From the start, we knew the look and feel of our clothing would define our voice. At Kozy, it’s not just about how you look—it’s about how you feel. We create luxury basics that blend comfort, style, and individuality for people who are always on the go but never lose sight of their well-being.
In a world that rarely slows down, our mission is simple: to remind people to keep it Kozy—to feel good, live well, and express themselves authentically.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
With any business, you hope everything goes smoothly but the truth is, the challenges are what shape you. Every obstacle teaches you the grind, the discipline, and the patience it takes to build something real. I’ve learned that success in business isn’t about perfection; it’s about consistency. The key is to keep showing up, even on the days when it feels impossible.
I’ve always believed in having a clear vision of where you want to go and working backward from that point. When you focus on the bigger picture, the small setbacks don’t shake you, they sharpen you.
One of the hardest but most rewarding lessons has been learning how to build the right team. People who not only bring talent but also share your vision and values. Alignment matters more than anything. And while building brand trust and authority takes time, we’ve chosen to grow it organically and authentically.
Business, to me, is more than strategy, it’s a spiritual journey. Every day tests your faith, your creativity, and your ability to problem-solve. But that’s what I love about it. There’s nothing more fulfilling than seeing people wear something that once lived only in my imagination. To watch an idea become something tangible, something that inspires others, is the true blessing.
