For as long as I can remember, I’ve been the friend everyone turns to for advice—especially when it comes to relationships. One day, I had a realization, why not turn my natural passion for helping others into something bigger? I have always loved love, and guiding people toward meaningful connections felt like a calling.
After careful thought and planning, I founded Unlocked Hearts Matchmaking in February 2021. My goal was to create a service that not only helps individuals find compatible partners, but also equips them with the tools to build lasting, healthy relationships. What started as a passion has grown into a mission to transform dating experiences and help people open their hearts to real meaningful love.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey has been anything but smooth. I’ve encountered challenges, from clients who were successfully matched but then self-sabotaged—only to place the blame on me—to singles mixers that didn’t go as planned because attendees purchased tickets but failed to show up. To guests, it may have appeared that the turnout was low, when in reality, the numbers were there.
These experiences have only pushed me to work twice as hard to establish my brand and make a lasting impact in the matchmaking industry. With Black matchmakers making up less than 1% of the field, I am committed to breaking barriers, proving the value of my expertise, and creating meaningful opportunities for those seeking love.

My journey into matchmaking was fueled by my passion for love and my natural ability to offer insightful relationship advice. Since launching in 2021, I have been dedicated to helping individuals navigate the dating world with clarity and confidence.
What do you do, and what do you specialize in?
As a professional matchmaker and dating coach, I help high-quality singles find and cultivate meaningful relationships. I specialize in personalized matchmaking, dating strategy, and relationship coaching, ensuring my clients are not only matched with compatible partners but also equipped with the skills and mindset to build lasting connections. I am known for my hands-on approach, offering tailored guidance that prioritizes emotional intelligence, compatibility, and personal growth.
What sets you apart from others?
What makes Unlocked Hearts Matchmaking unique is my holistic approach to dating. I don’t just introduce people—I prepare them for love by addressing self-sabotaging behaviors, attachment styles, and effective communication strategies. With a background in Marriage and Family Therapy, I bring psychological insight into the matchmaking process, helping clients not only find love but also maintain healthy relationships. Additionally, as a Black matchmaker in an industry where less than 1% share my background, I am committed to increasing representation and providing a space where diverse singles feel seen, understood, and valued.
What are you most proud of brand-wise?
I am most proud of the impact Unlocked Hearts Matchmaking has had on my clients’ lives. Seeing individuals transform their dating experiences, build meaningful relationships, and even find long-term partners is incredibly fulfilling. I’ve also worked hard to create singles mixers and events that foster genuine connections, even in the face of challenges. Despite obstacles, my brand continues to grow, and I am proud to be making a mark in this industry.
