Hi Katrina, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I have always been a lover of all things beauty….fashion, hair, and makeup. I really got into makeup around 2011 and started watching YouTube videos and practicing on myself. I would post selfies on social media. That led to close family, friends, and church members asking me to do their makeup for personal events. I eventually got really serious about it in 2017 after my family and friends kept pushing me to make it a business and not just a hobby.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My main struggle has me being in my own way. Being afraid to put myself out there and compare where I am to where I see others on social media. Had to learn to be confident in my gift and what God has for me is for me.

I am a makeup artist in the Houston area that specializes in soft glam. I love for my clients to look like an enhanced version of themselves which is what my clients love most about me and my techniques. I believe in being professional and offering great customer service along with bringing the glam to my clients. So you will always get timely service and be greeted with a smile and questions to make sure I am meeting your needs. I am most proud of the continuous expansion of my business. I have to admit that I am not as active on IG as I should be, but why business has literally kept me busy by word of mouth and referrals. I do work a corporate job during the week, so my services are mostly offered on the weekends.
What matters most to you? Why?
I am a big advocate of being professional and offering great customer service at all times. These 2 things will always impact and help sustain your business the most.
