Hi Kellen, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida and graduated college from Tuskegee University (B.S. in Business Administration) in Tuskegee, Alabama. After graduation, I began working at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a temporary mail clerk. From there I worked my way through the ranks, of being a seasonal employee to becoming the youngest supervisor at the IRS in Austin, Texas. In 2014, I accepted a promotion in New Orleans, Louisiana, as a Tax Compliance Officer in the Small Business/Self Employed Division. In 2018, I accepted another promotion as an Internal Revenue Agent in Dallas, TX. In 2024, I relocated to Houston, Texas, and what began as a shower thought, finally transformed into Quad Stone Tax Services. My goal is to provide expert tax preparation services to individuals, families, and small business owners. Finally, I am blessed to call Houston my forever home.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In my life, I have faced my share of challenges. However, I view challenges as opportunities to grow as a person. You will never know your limitations and true potential, until you have faced adversity and overcame it. One of the most challenging times, was deciding to resign from the IRS, and ultimately build Quad Stone Tax Services. I knew I wanted to create my own lane of taxpayer driven services. I am utilizing the knowledge I received from the IRS, which has allowed me to properly educate and assist my clients in accurate tax preparation.

As a former IRS agent, I am able to understand the federal tax codes and current compliance policies for my clients. Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory is seeing my father attend my sports games as a kid. My father worked 16-hour shifts at a paper mill, and seeing his work ethic was very inspiring. As a child, I saw my father exhausted, after work and he would still attend my games. His presence at my games, displayed a type of perseverance that I adopted and continued to carry throughout my life.
