Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelsey Albrecht.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I graduated as valedictorian with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans in 2008 and spent four years working in the Intensive Care Unit. I then pursued advanced training, earning my Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nurse Anesthesia from TCU in 2014.
For the next decade, I worked as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) before transitioning into aesthetics in 2022. After having 2 little girls and working a demanding hospital based job, I found myself looking for different ways to utilize my anesthesia training. I had always been very into the aesthetics world, and decided to pursue training.
I still split my days between anesthesia and aesthetics. On my anesthesia days, I work for a local plastic surgeon doing anesthesia for a variety of plastic surgery procedures. When I’m not doing anesthesia, I’m at my aesthetics practice. Doing both aesthetics and anesthesia provides me with an deep understanding of patient safety and anatomy. My anesthesia background brings medical excellence to meet aesthetic artistry.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Owning a business is never a smooth ride. For me, the hardest parts have been related to the business side – learning my numbers, thinking as a business owner and not a practitioner.

What do I like most – there is always something to do / a new place to go to! We love exploring Houston’s restaurant scene, especially new restaurants in the Heights.
