Today we’d like to introduce you to Kenesha Austin.

Hi Kenesha, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
In 2019, I relocated to Houston, Texas from St. Louis, Missouri. It wasn’t until I relocated to Houston that I found my passion for cooking. I’ve always had a love for cooking due to being born and raised in the South, West Memphis, Arkansas. Growing up, I always gathered tips and tricks from my Mom, my Uncle Motor, and my Grandma and based on the information I was given, I’d try to recreate a meal or recipe.

Friends and Family took note of my presentation, the quality of the food, and my passion and inspired me to start a catering business. BeeEATS was established in March of 2022, I started off doing small events for family and friends, and now my Business is flourishing and I’ve been granted the opportunity to travel and cater State to State!

I truly enjoy cooking and creating memories for those that I meet, BeeEATS catering provides meals that are cooked with passion and from the soul all while creating lasting memories! My goal is to open a restaurant right here in Houston one day where I discovered my passion, but in the mean time, I welcome everyone to inquire about BeeEats Catering!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Business has been smooth, but it hasn’t always been that way. When I moved to Houston, I did not have any friends or relatives so it was hard to book events because I didn’t know anyone, but I held on to my faith and never gave up.

My family, my sister, my aunt, and close friends continued to push me, advised me to go out and network and that’s when things started to turn around.

As you know, we’re big fans of BeeEATS. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
BeeEATS specializes in Soul Food, but offers a plethora of food options including Vegan and Keto friendly options. Reviews and overall satisfaction are of great importance to me, and what sets me apart from others is my ability to create a vision for my clients and provide a memorable experience that you receive once in a life time! Not only do I cook, I create decorative scenes depending on what my clients may be celebrating, this is what sets me apart.

I am known for my Signature Savory Turkey Leg Delight which encompasses homemade creamy cajun fettuccine alfredo topped with a savory smoked turkey leg and parmesan cheese.

I would like readers to know that cooking has unlimited opportunities, in addition to offering Catering services, I also create cooking tutorials based on follower feedback and those have gone exceptionally well over the years too.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
My advice for networking would be to create flyers, business cards, and explore the local community. You have to have a passion for what you’re doing and share those excitements with potential customers. Visit businesses and attend vendor held events to build that rapport as well.
