Today we’d like to introduce you to Kiani Komeizi.
Hi Kiani, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I came to the U.S. as an immigrant to study, graduated as a architect, and worked extremely hard to build my career. I finally reached a place where I was working for one of the top firms while also teaching architecture on the side, and then within one week I lost both jobs.
I have never been someone who can sit at home and do nothing. My husband suggested getting my real estate license, so I took the leap. Before I knew it, I became a top producer for multiple years in a row.
That is when it clicked for me. If I could build my own career from scratch, I could build a brokerage too. In 2020 I took another leap. Five years later, I have an established business and a brokerage I love and am proud to lead every single day.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I put so much time into my business that I did not have a personal life. I was pouring more into my career than into myself. Over time I learned how to balance it, how to step back, and how to make myself and my loved ones a priority again.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Kiani Realty?
We are a boutique brokerage that handles every part of real estate. Buying, selling, investing, commercial, we truly do it all. What makes us different is that we choose to stay small. When a brokerage grows too big, it becomes impossible to make sure every agent is truly supported and educated. By keeping our team intimate, our agents stay sharp, active, and genuinely great at what they do.”
“I am really proud of what I have built. Not everyone gets to say they created a company rooted in honesty, hard work, and real care for the people who walk through its doors.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
It is only going to get better from here. I truly believe that the best investment anyone can make is real property. It is unique, it is limited, and its value continues to grow over time. I also think purchasing multifamily is going to become a major trend. People are realizing more and more every day that real estate is the key to generational wealth.
