Hi Mandi, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
When I first tried to apply for college, I faced rejection. Determined to make something of myself, I shifted gears and sought a good-paying job. Unfortunately, that path started with working at Starbucks for just $7.25 an hour.

I kept applying for jobs, but every door seemed to close because I didn’t have the “experience” employers were looking for. Feeling stuck, I stumbled upon an opportunity with an energy company hiring door-to-door sales agents. Desperate for a change, I took a leap of faith.

In my first week as a door-to-door agent, I made $1,000—far more than the $400 I’d been scraping together every two weeks at Starbucks. That initial taste of success fueled me to push harder. I had no prior sales experience, but I was determined to learn and excel. By the end of my first year at the age of 18, I had not only mastered the art of selling but had also earned $112,000.

Over time, I built and trained sales teams in cities across the country: Houston, Dallas, McAllen, Laredo, Boston, Philly, New York, and Jersey. I thrived in helping others find the same opportunities that transformed my life.

In 2021, the company I was working for decided to exit the industry. That’s when the owner approached me with an unexpected offer—he asked if I wanted to take over. Without hesitation, I seized the opportunity. I bought the company, and that’s how Impulse Marketing Group was born.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road to success wasn’t easy. After being denied from college and rejected from countless jobs for lacking experience, I finally landed a door-to-door sales job. The constant rejection, slammed doors, and tough days tested my resilience, but I pushed through.

As I grew in the industry and started building teams, the challenges only increased. Leading and managing people across cities like Houston, Dallas, and New York taught me hard lessons, often through mistakes.

When I took the leap to buy the company in 2021, it was a huge financial risk with no guarantees. Balancing growth, payroll, and supporting my agents felt overwhelming at times. But every struggle taught me resilience, and each obstacle became a stepping stone toward building Impulse Marketing Group.
