Community Highlights: Meet Robyn Welsh of Sage Hands

Today we’d like to introduce you to Robyn Welsh

Hi Robyn, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve been a Licensed Massage Therapist for over 15 years, most of which I spent working at a local franchise. During that time, I gained extensive experience and eventually advanced to a lead therapist role, also earning my massage therapy instructor license. However, I reached a point where I felt I had plateaued, and the franchise environment started to feel limiting. That’s when I made the decision to branch out on my own, allowing me to fully realize my potential as the therapist I aspire to be. Almost a year ago, I opened the doors to Sage Hands, and I couldn’t be happier with that decision.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like any business in its early stages, the first year has had its challenges. However, I’ve found that building a business is a highly creative process, full of opportunities for growth and innovation. The toughest part has been standing out among the many competitors, but it’s all about figuring out what works best to draw people in.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Sage Hands?
At Sage Hands, my goal is to provide a space where everyone can focus on healing and achieving their wellness goals. Massage is more than just physical relief—it supports the mind, body, and soul. In today’s fast-paced world, we often neglect self-care, so when you’re in a session with me, it’s not just a massage but a personalized experience tailored to your specific needs. Sage Hands is a safe, welcoming space to unwind and nourish your body, allowing you to truly let go for a moment. I offer 30, 60, and 90-minute sessions with various add-ons that target specific areas of concern. Developing a treatment plan is essential for maintaining overall health.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I’m always striving to expand my knowledge and skills to better serve my clients. I regularly take CEU courses and pursue certifications to enhance the effectiveness of my sessions. As an empath, like many massage therapists, I’m deeply attuned to my clients’ needs. I can sense not only physical misalignments within the muscles but also the emotional toll each person carries. Fun fact: I’m even certified in canine massage!

Pricing:

  • $80 per hour
  • $10-15 for add-ons
