Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Goedde.
Hi Sarah, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I have been in the service business between AC and Appliance Repair for 15+ years. After some time and working very hard and some mishaps with one place in particular, we decided I could do this on my own, so we sold some things, and Lone Star Appliance Repair LLC was born.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being a woman in a male-dominated business and running it on my own have certainly had their challenges. I once had a customer think tech was my husband and the owner, and when he found out no, it was just me. He had a lot of not-so-nice things to say and didn’t want to do work with us anymore. A major challenge I find is finding loyal, trustworthy, and hardworking people to join the family. We also had a scare during COVID-19, which many did, but with the help of my team and a wonderful networking group that is now today the Net level up networking, we made it and are so blessed to have done so.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We are a family at Lone Star Appliance Repair LLC, offering expert appliance repair at neighborly pricing. I like to treat those who work with us to one weekend trip a year; usually, we go to the beach and get to hang out and relax for a weekend. I think it’s very important to appreciate and give when we can to the people who keep the wheel turning here at Lone Star Appliance Repair LLC.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Due to some hardships and obstacles within my life when I was on younger, I’ve had to work really hard for the majority of my life. I’ve had to figure out issues quickly and on my own, which I believe has made me very driven. With the support of family, wonderful friends, and my other family, fellow local business owners in the area, we have grown to what we are today.
