Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Guillory.
Hi Sarah, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
For years I worked in corporate America as a District Manager. In 2020 my husband had his first minor stroke and was hospitalized for several days. We thought this was the worst thing that could happen, but boy were we wrong. Over the next couple years, my husbands health got worse. He went through tons of testing and another 5 day hospital stay. The Insurance he had was getting more expensive every year and covering less and less. We were drowning in doctor and hospital bills. So I started asking more questions and doing more of my own research on affordable ways to get the testing done, and where to go to get the treatment that was needed. Mid 2024, his health was improving, and I made the decision to become a licensed insurance broker so that I could help people, like my husband, navigate this crazy and get quality coverage without all the hassels we went through. It hasn’t been a flawless transition. I learn more and more everyday, but I love that I truly get to help save lives and families by giving them peace of mind that they are covered and have someone in thier corner who will advocate for them and answer questions without them having to call an 800 number. I get to be the difference I want to see in the world.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Hahaha! No truer statement was ever made, “The Struggle is REAL”! Going from making a high 5 figure income to a basically commission only career was bananas! Faith brought me to this career, and keeping my faith has gotten me through the struggles. There were month where I helped dozens of people, but couldn’t pay my mortgage because the best plans for them weren’t ones I was contracted with so I referred them out. God saw my heart though and never let my family go without.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Fishing with my siblings at 11 mile resivor in Colorado. We went at least once a year and had a complete blast for 3-4 days.
