Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Villarreal.
Hi Sarah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey into personal styling began during a season when getting dressed became an afterthought. After becoming a mom, I noticed how much that shift impacted my self-esteem, mood, and energy. I experienced firsthand the deep emotional connection between what we wear and how we feel, and I realized many other women were navigating the same disconnect. Reclaiming my personal style became a way of reclaiming myself and that transformation became the spark behind my business.
Before starting Sarah Villarreal Styling, I worked as a fashion designer, which gave me a strong foundation in fit, construction, and how clothing works on real bodies. Over time, I felt called to use that experience in a more personal and meaningful way. I became a certified Style Coach® and developed a systems-based approach to styling that focuses on identity, lifestyle, and confidence rather than trends.
Today, I work primarily with busy moms in the Greater Houston area, helping them define their signature style, simplify their wardrobes, and feel confident getting dressed again. What began as a personal shift has grown into deeply fulfilling work—supporting women as they reclaim their confidence, reconnect with themselves, and show up fully in their lives through style.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Between working as a fashion designer and becoming a style coach, there was a season where I was a stay-at-home mom simply trying to hold everything together, doing my best for my family while also trying to rediscover myself along the way. It was a beautiful journey, but not a pretty one.
Once I decided to fully step into Style Coaching, I had to work through a lot of imposter syndrome and learn how to truly put myself out there. Promoting my work didn’t come naturally, and I was navigating that learning curve while also managing the many responsibilities of being a stay-at-home mom. Learning to trust my expertise, claim my space, and show up consistently took time. But those challenges gave me a deep understanding of what my clients are facing and, in the end, they made me a stronger coach (and a better mom).
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Sarah Villarreal Styling is a personal styling business serving women in the Greater Houston area, with a focus on busy moms who want to feel confident, put-together, and like themselves again. I help women reconnect with their personal style in a way that’s intentional, sustainable, and aligned with their real lives.
What sets my work apart is that it goes beyond simply telling clients what to wear. I teach women how to understand their style, body, and lifestyle so getting dressed feels easy and intuitive. My approach is educational and supportive, and designed to reduce overwhelm and decision fatigue.
I’m best known for my 4-step Total Style Package, a comprehensive experience that guides clients through clarifying their personal style, editing their wardrobe, shopping with intention, and learning how to create outfits they truly love. The focus isn’t just on clothing, but on clarity, confidence, and self-trust.
What I’m most proud of is the transformation my clients experience. Watching women grow more comfortable in their bodies and show up more fully in their lives is why I love this work. For me, style is rooted in self-expression and creativity. Confidence is the goal, and style is the vehicle that helps women get there.
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
If there’s one thing I’d want readers to know, it’s that feeling disconnected from your style isn’t a personal failure, it’s often a sign that your life has changed and that you’ve dropped off the priority list. You don’t need a new body or an entirely new closet. You need support, clarity, and permission to prioritize yourself again.
Style can be a powerful tool for rebuilding your confidence and expressing who you are, both inside and outside of motherhood. It’s never too late to reconnect with yourself or to redefine what you want that to look like in your current season of life.
