Today we’d like to introduce you to Steven Briskman.
Hi Steven, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We started as a sauce and seasoning manufacturer back in 2010. We sold our 20 year old family recipe which we named Bigga’s Bad Ass BBQ Sauce. We also started to develop a line of rubs with one very special creation called Seven Seas Steak Seasoning. 7 salts, 7 peppercorns and Black Garlic. After years of cottage style sales our loyal FB followers requested we sell the food that wad in all the photos we were using to
Promote sauce and seasonings. In 2016 we opened Bigga’s BBQ Catering out of a little restaurant in Montgomery called the Little Acorn. We were only open on Sunday as a restaurant and spent the rest of the time doing catering orders. Right as we started seeing our popularity grow, Covid 19 took us out. Steve went back to work in marketing which he had already had a successful career in being the former GM of 5 Hearst newspapers including the Houston Chronicle. Jessica a 20 year Oil & Gas Accountant also went back to work. A few years had past and we were both itching to get back to our calling, feeding the lords people! We found a little kitchen inside of a Phillips 66 has station right off if 105 in Conroe and wOrked out a deal where we could operate an express BBQ restaurant while we grow our catering brand. Almost 90 days in and we have seen much success. We have been able to Serve a community with little food option by providing a powerhouse of flavor and family style dishes.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Construction on 105 has been a problem. It’s prevents folks from driving this far out from 45.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Bigga’s BBQ Express?
We are knows for our Texas Style BBQ especially our brisket and Pudding selections.
Being a seasoning manufacturer gave us an edge when it comes to the flavor of our food. Everything we serve os scratch made in house.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
All praises go to god. He chose us for this to feed his people.
