Hi Tawnie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started my career as a teacher, which gave me a deep love for helping people learn and grow. From there, I jumped into IT sales, where I mastered strategy, technology, and how businesses really operate behind the scenes. That mix of education and tech became the foundation for everything that followed.
Eventually, I took the leap into entrepreneurship — building a successful marketing business while also following a calling into yoga and holistic wellness. Today, I blend strategy and soul: helping businesses grow while supporting people as whole humans, not just job titles.
Along the way, I became a bestselling author of Women in Power, launched a new TV show, Inside Houston, and continue to grow a thriving business rooted in purpose, impact, and results. My path hasn’t been traditional — but it’s been intentional, aligned, and wildly rewarding.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Going back to school to earn my MS in IT was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made — and also one of the hardest. I was a new mom with a full-time job, and there were plenty of moments when quitting would have been the easier option. But I stayed committed.
When I graduated, everything shifted. I stepped into a new industry, new responsibilities, and a whole new level of confidence. That decision changed the trajectory of my career and opened doors I never imagined. I’m incredibly grateful I chose to push through — it shaped the leader I am today. Go Coogs!
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’ve had my own experiences with hiring and building teams, and like many business owners, I’ve learned some valuable life lessons along the way. Those experiences helped me understand how hard it can be to find people you truly trust and how discouraging it feels when things don’t work out as expected. Because of that, I genuinely understand the hesitation clients feel when they’ve been burned by an agency in the past.
Because of that, we operate differently at Success Headway. We go above and beyond for our clients — often supporting them well beyond what’s outlined in a contract. We care deeply about their success, and we treat their businesses as if they were our own. Trust isn’t something we take lightly; it’s something we earn through consistency, transparency, and follow-through.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Over the next 5–10 years, the marketing and technology industry will become far more intelligent, personalized, and human-centered. Artificial intelligence will move from being a tool to becoming the foundation — quietly powering strategy, automation, and real-time decision-making behind the scenes.
The biggest shift will be toward hyper-personalized experiences. Brands that succeed won’t be the loudest; they’ll be the most relevant. AI-driven systems will anticipate needs, unify data across every channel, and create marketing that feels more like a conversation than a campaign.
At the same time, trust and privacy will become a major differentiator. Businesses that handle data ethically and transparently will stand out, while those chasing shortcuts will fall behind. The future belongs to brands that blend smart technology with clear values.
Ultimately, the industry is moving toward a human-plus-AI partnership — where automation handles complexity and humans focus on creativity, connection, and purpose. That balance is where real growth will happen.
