Today we’d like to introduce you to Vincent Hall
Hi Vincent, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in the Missouri City, Texas area where I was always the husky kid growing up. That huskiness, however, was an asset because I had been playing football since I was 10 years old. It wasn’t until high school when I started to take training for sports seriously and that took my athleticism to the next level.
Fast forward, I traveled to Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee to further my career in sports and started my red-shirt freshman year on the football team. My excitement during this time quickly changed, because a tragedy occurred shortly after getting settled in Jackson. I was a casualty to a fatal club shooting, sustaining gunshot wounds to my left foot and thigh. After years of training and playing sports, I was unsure of my future and how I was going to get to the next level with these injuries. Because of this, I fell into a deep depression after the doctors said that I would be unable to play again after surgery.
However, with a strong support system of my parents, siblings, and best friends, I was able to rehab and put in work to get into shape – just in time to apply for the University of Houston. Around 2012, I walked on to the football team, defied the odds, and became a part of Cougar football history.
For the past 10+ years post-graduation, I have utilized my motivation, passion, and drive to coach a diverse range of individuals, including athletes across sports divisions at Rice University, The University of Houston, Houston Baptist University’s Olympic athletes, and others. I’ve also worked privately for gyms, like D1 Performance, supporting busy individuals who need support to reach their personal fitness goals.
I truly believe that your words can shape your reality. If it weren’t for the positive words of my support system, I never would’ve fought my way back onto the football field after the injuries. Through this philosophy, DECRĒ was born. We are built on the idea of “decide, speak, move.” Decide that you can achieve your goals. Speak confidently to support your progression. And move intentionally towards that vision of a healthier and stronger you.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Believing in myself has been the most difficult challenge to establishing DECRĒ. There’s millions of other coaches, trainers, and gym owners out there who are talented at what they do. But what keeps me grounded is our mission and our story to inspire others to really lock in and hit the gas pedal on their fitness goals. We help set the foundation to ensure that fitness isn’t just a short-term thing, but instead, a life-long commitment. We are driven by the progression of our clients, and fueled by providing that progression through sustainable and accessible training for all.
As you know, we’re big fans of DECRĒ. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?

We’re most proud of what DECRĒ stands for and how we’ve grown since our founding in 2024. Looking ahead, we’re excited to continue growing and developing sustainable clothing made from recycled textiles and materials – enabling our community to represent DECRĒ wherever they go.
What makes you happy?
Seeing the progression of somebody’s fitness and personal journey makes me happy, because it indicates that they’re committed and bought into a healthy lifestyle. I also love being in the gym – I go every morning around 4:30am, and that’s my way of starting my day with a win and making sure that I show up the best I can for those around me.
