Yolanda, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Hello, my name is Yolanda, also known as Yoko. I have been in the beauty industry for 15 years and have loved every minute of it. My career in the beauty industry has allowed me to help my clients gain their confidence back as soon as they leave my chair. With that being said, I have had many clients that would ask me for guidance on how to create their perfect brow shape because the clients that know me well also know that brows have always been a fascination. I often took the time to teach my client little tricks on how to enhance their eyebrow, but they often felt discouraged once they tried to work on their eyebrows at home because the lack of makeup application experience. When I was first introduced to Microblading, I was in awe; it was that exact moment that I knew I had to offer this to my clients. I could finally give my clients the perfect brow shape.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I started Microblading right before Covid- 19 started spreading, and we shut down for a couple of months. It was a challenge finding ways for my clients and myself to feel safe, but thankfully with were able to overcome it and have my business running. I continue my education by taking classes from some of the best artist. With the help of social media, I am able to find so many great microblading artist that have become my mentors now.

I am Yolanda, and founder of Brows by Yoko. I aim to enhance your look with permanent makeup. I have traveled across the country to master several brow techniques such as Microblading, Ombré, and Powder brows. I have now created my own Signature Hybrid Combination, and it’s my favorite thing to do. I am committed in providing the highest quality of permanent cosmetics. I aim not only to create beauty through brows but also help my clients gain their confidence back. I look forward in listening to my client’s stories of life after their brows. Brows are everything, and the perfect brow shape can give you an immediate 5-10 years back.
